Waterfall Gully reviews
25 Drive to the waterfall gully is very beautiful specially with the surroundings. It’s about 25 mins from the Adelaide city. There’s and pathway to walk to the top of the waterfall and also there’s a 3.2 km walk to Adelaide hill Mt lofty.
Free parking available with toilet facilities
Just beautiful! Wide, flat paths and wheelchair accessible to bottom waterfall. Large accessible toilets, ample parking and plenty of shady spots. The top waterfall is 800m away, up a very steep hill, however, it’s manageable.
A good beautiful place. People who are not kore into walking and hiking, but wants to enjoy, this is a definitely place for them. Because this is a beautiful but little cosy place where you can feel nature, a little walk or hike up to waterfall, has public toilets and car parking facilities very near to fall and also have a beautiful restaurant. Whole area is very photogenic. Very good spot for beautiful pictures and short visit. But not so good for genuine hiker, or nothing else to do here. Not good for a long time spend
Today Ashby I went to waterfall Gully for the first time I didn’t imagine it to be as pretty as it once today. It was very nice weather very peaceful walk a lot of people the border that nature is very Australian like represents our country very well. I recommended anyone that’s coming for the first time to see it with anyone that likes the country. This is the best place to go climb. You can have the breeze of the clear water and environmental with a lovely playground at the bottom with a restaurant and eating area with clean restrooms
Have been here many times by bike and car. This time we hiked from Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty. Scenic views. Waterfalls are small in comparison to many others but the best in Adelaide. Ample parking available and multiple toilets.
Waterfall gully is a hidden gem in Adelaide that is a must-visit. The falls are very peaceful and the waterfall is great. It’s definitely worth the visit!
Have been doing the waterfall gully walking track for last eight months enjoying it immensely meeting these beautiful animals we have ran into a Kookaburra sitting on the branch enjoying the sun like we all do just some about this bird he sat there took a photo front view then it turned side ways took a photo then it turned the other way took another photo then it flew off
Short walk to the first waterfall which makes it super easy with little kids! Family friendly and a beautiful spot
A delicate fall thats rich in iron content, surrounded by exotic European olive trees? That are ferric lovers
Beautiful view from the base with no effort or long walks. However recommend you take the short walk to the hike and see Second Falls too. Stretch beforehand because it's steep!
Such a beauty!
Hidden gem within Adelaide!
Loved the experience. Beautiful waterfalls!
Good for a hike to Mount Lofty!
Plenty of carpark available considering it was weekend!
It was a beautiful walk and a hike at this lovely location with the breeze of the waterfall. We visited in the second week of July during winter. While the normal temperature was above 15 degrees, up the waterfall it was about 10 degrees. Relatively colder than the Adelaide city. There’s a great hike of 3.5km up the waterfall. This hike is over a steep walk. But the path is well paved and constructed. After a hike, you can have a great meal at the Utopia cafe located within the premises of the waterfall. I would say this place gets a little crowded during weekends.
This place is good only for a quick photo. Waterfall was a-o-k. There's a cafe nearby, but honestly just go to one that has a good view. Nevertheless, an okay spot for a quick shoot.
Completed the Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty hiking trail - its an amazing experience! About 7.9km (up and down) in total, showing great views and natural scenery. I particularly like the paved trail from start to finish. They really did well in designing the trail with steep areas and plenty of resting spots, if you wish to catch your breath. You need to be patient when looking for a parking spot at Waterfally Gully as the parking area usually gets full especially in the weekends but once you do, you will find the hike is all worth it.
Wow, what a fantastic Mothers Day breakfast! Amazing food, bagel with salmon & cream cheese, tartlet with grilled halloumi, smoked maple bacon, baked egg with smoked Laban…& more! Followed by.pancakes, yoghurt panna cotta + strawberries & other yummy tasty desserts. Bottomless tea and coffee (we were “filled” several times by the most friendly, accommodating staff.) Has to be the best brekky I can ever remember. The room was sparkling with fairy lights and huge smiles. I will certainly remember this Mother’s Day with such delight. Thank you Utopia!
Great place for a coffee or a decent bit of excercise. The 3 falls are an easy walk up the track
Definitely worth a visit.
A scenic hike on offer here, from Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty for the advanced walkers.
Has assisted accessibility to the waterfall.
Public toilets close to the car park are clean and upgraded.
Great place for a hike. Trails can be steep and narrow fairly challenging in some spots so remember to take water and wear the right shoes. Overall well maintained and great place for photos.
Nice spot, but not enough bins, rubbish all over toilet areas and the bins they do have are overflowing which is dissapointing.
A refreshing cool place during a heatwave, at other times the starting or resting spot of walking tracks.
The First Creek is regulated in front of the first waterfall with stonework that fits the landscape.
