W T Morris And Son's Bakery reviews
36We went to this cafe, as we weren't sure as where else the was or is a bakery in Naracorte, bought a sausage roll and two bread rolls, omg the sausage roll was sooo dry, the pastry just broke apart because it was so dry the filling was awful, I don't know what it was but yuk, I ended up feeding it to the chooks, the bread rolls were tasteless, put filling in it, was stoggy and no flavour, so we won't be back to this place! I think the sausage roll was in there for ages! They shouldn't be selling it like that!
Staff was unfriendly, and had no idea about the food they were selling, all looked like they had a big night out the night prior.
Very aged and grotty store. Shame as it has potential. Have tried here several times (giving the benefit of a doubt) and the review stays the same. Food was tastless, half empty fridges and minimal variety.
Lovely coffee. Jam doughnuts delicious. Service of the girls absolutely Lovely.very caring staff
Chicken pie was worse than a frozen pie. Cream in the matchstick was 'fake' not fresh. Not for me. Expected better.
The quality of the pies in this establishment belie its unassuming exterior. Fantastic cheese and bacon pie followed by the slightly left-field choice of chilli pizza pie. Pastry 9/10 - fantastically flakey. Filling 7/10 - delicious mince but the chilli tasted more like curry. Thanks all.
Very disappointing. Not the bakery it used to be. Pasty terrible, pie passable. Poor service. Young girls too busy chatting out back. Won't return.
Fine service… But the absolute worst sprinkle don’t i have ever eaten. I highly recommend going for absolutely anything else. That foam they use to cover it is like 5 day old whipped cream… absolutely disgusting. Could not finish it
Worst Bakery ever, veggie pastie could not eat so got a sausage roll and curry pie no better spend your money elsewhere.
Not sure I have had a worse sausage roll and pie in my entire life. Sausage roll tasted like it was a week old and was genuinely inedible and the pie wasn’t much better.
The service was bad the ladies working there obviously just wanted to go home. For a country bakery we expected nice service but it was a struggle for them to tell us what pies they had. The food was not very nice either. Would recommend spending your money elsewhere.
Popped in for some Brekky on our travels. Had an awesome Bacon & Egg Roll & great coffees. Staff were so helpful & very friendly.
Good service and lovely people however not the best bakery. Just had a pepper pie and was very disappointed, no wow factor here whatsoever!
Had a lot better from a lot more country bakeries.
Service was shocking, more interested in talking to friends than serving customers.
The sandwich bar was shut right in front of me (at 14: 30) when I went to order a sandwich. The attitude from both members of staff was surly and rude - one staff member shoved the salt cellar towards me without a word, as she turned and walked away, rather than giving it to me - it's been a long time since I've seen a paying customer treated this way!
All the cream cakes have "fake" cream in them - isn't this a bakery!
Very expensive, rude staff, and poor choice & quality. Avoid!
Excellent pastry - flaky and buttery. We enjoyed the chunky steak and the Diane steak. Lovely staff, well priced, filling. The sausage roll was on the bland side.
Great selection of pastries both sweet and savory. Flaky pastry on the pasties and sausage rolls and the sweet pastries were very fresh. Caters for gluten free too with delicious lemon tarts and raspberry cheesecakes. Staff were polite, friendly and generous. Looking forward to returning!
Pretty bad service from a lady, for some unknown reasons that she was so grumpy since we started to order our lunch. Obviously she is not happy work there.
Veggie pastie was lukewarm and disgusting mush, the pastry was ok. The whole store looks like it needs a good clean.
Not bad.not great either. Sausage roll lacked a bit of flavour and the pastry on party pie was crumbling as I ate it. Staff were friendly though.
I have no doubt that they serve the best pastries in town. I personally love their lamb sausage rolls, packed with flavour and just gloriously delicious.
But, their breakfast however is a disappointment. I ordered poached eggs but I got them hard boiled eggs instead. Baked beans were straight from the can, no seasoning at all. Mushrooms was not salty enough. Sausage was not properly cooked. Bacon was too dry. Above all, it took them literally 20 minutes to serve big breakfast. I strongly recommend you to just stick to baking. I hope to see some improvement in near future. Highly recommend their pastries!
