Vinnies Royal Park reviews
16 Royal Park Vinnies is my local. Just popped into Drakes next door. Walking back to my car I realised Vinnies is closed- 2pm on a Monday! Seems like the manager thinks they can close when ever they feel like it.
I would like to mention I’ve also had a run in with the manager and made a formal complaint to Vinnies Adelaide. And I’m very disappointed to see so many other people have had similar experiences when making DONATIONS. I had been going to this op shop regularly for the last 15 years never had and issue prior, in fact I would go in there just to catch up with the girls working there. I haven’t been in there in the last 6 months and refuse to spend my money in there and my DONATIONS now go to the Salvos who very much appreciate it.
If I could give a 0 star I would.
More than not, when dropping off goods, I've received less than appreciation & smiles from female staff in the outer area.
Grumpy and quite rude.
Yes they're probably volunteers, but so what? If you can't handle it or don't like it, get out!
Great shop nicely displayed. The staff were
lovely and really helpful. Bought a couple of toys that will be perfect for Xmas presents.
Very tidy store with a great selection of items and always eager to spend money here and donate items however a number of occasions I have found the store closed earlier than the posted trading hours or trying to close early whilst people were in the store. I understand this a volunteer run store but myself and others I’m sure drive over specially and it’s a waste of time.
Quite small and not a lot of clothes, but what I have found there has always been good quality. The volunteers that run the place are always welcoming and a delight to talk to.
Very aggressive store manager was lurking around as soon as she saw my car boot open with donations.leering at me.frowning before I'd even removed anything from the boot. I was attempting to donate some lovely brands.compliant with store policy (no electrical etc). However on my approach to the drop off area the manager yells at me " people think they are donating gold"? Extremely sarcastic.unpleasant experience. Delivering donations and getting abused for absolutely no reason is appalling. I took my donations back to the car.manager came after me and got in my face. Vinnies.you need to think about the staff you have in a front facing public domain. They are a liability. Donations were happily accepted at the neighbouring charity.
I experienced the worst ever customer service from one of the females (couldn’t call her a lady by any means as her behaviour was anything but ladylike).
Dropped off some clothes and was met with an aggressive, negative person who was both ungrateful and beyond rude, screaming at me for bringing in donations.
I understand that places are short staffed and run by volunteers, however this woman should not be working here. She would be better suited to a role in which she does not have to interact with anyone.
Extremely disappointed in this experience and in this person.
NB: the other staff were lovely.
Very unpleasant experience today trying to donate a very expensive coat. I almost wanted to go back in and take it back. Very rude and got the impression staff weren't on same page. Very unpleasant and don't feel like going back, used to be a favourite of mine. Staff member had opportunity to make amends but didn't.
Don't expect this from a charity shop
3pm and lady at counter told me to go outside and knock on the roller door. When I did another woman came flying out asking what I was dping
I'd like this shop I'm so addicted due to cheaper clothes and variety things that you can see around the shop
Just donated some paintings a minute ago and was patronised by the most horrible woman I've ever met. Totally ungrateful and barked at me to just "just put them there" as though I bothered her. And fine so the table wasn't good enough to sell, lesson learnt. I didn't realise, but you don't have to humiliate me for it. Honestly ruined my day and her energy is not fit for human beings. What an awful morning, thanks. She shouldn't be allowed to speak to fellow humans. Horrible experience. She was wesring blue and drove a car with blue logo on it. Wish I didn't donate my pretty paintings there now. Rot in hell the lot of you.
ALWAYS will go out of my way to go to Vinnies Find on always find something good at a great price
Well what can I say I arrived at 4pm with a couple bags to be met by the rudest woman. Who rolled her eyes at me and was extremely rude. I asked if they were still open. Yes they were "can they go in the Vinnies bin". Yes I said. Then she pulled up the roller door huffing, my son took 2 bags in there. Horrible service. I took the rest of bags to rspca semaphore. Never again. Always been my local which is a shame. I understand they are volunteers but this customer service was terrible. Very disappointed.
Friendly & cheerful staff, lots of new stuff just in dirt cheap price, excellent quality clothing n other stuff too. Recently purchased Brand new 2 sweaters & a jacket for my papa just in $12/-
This is one of the best op shops in Adelaide.
There is always plenty of stock and very reasonably priced. The shop is always clean and tidy, the girls who manage the store are extremely welcoming and friendly.
Friendly staff, occasionally you may grab something decent. I don't work or volunteer here, so this is an unbiased opinion.:)
Great Friendly ladies who volunteer for a great charity organisation. There are many different items here from clothing to toys, books and bric a brac collectibles. Prices are great so check out for great bargains. Located next to Foodland supermarkets so parking is plenty and convenient. A must place to explore and shop!
