Vinnies Kidman Park reviews
24Save your time and give this one a miss. The pricing is more than retail for most items and you can get it for the same if not cheaper on eBay. Whomever is doing the pricing has got it all wrong. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!
Totally love this store always got the best quality products and reasonable prices love the music they always play makes you so happy and staff are so helpful and excellent service keep up the wonderful work Team hats of to you all?
Great place to shop for almost anything, no 240volt electrical items other than lamps, good quality used items and cloths, DVDs, Cd's and vintage Items. Very helpful staff.
This area has several choices for op shops, which is good and with a coffee shop it is a relief if you want to grab a coffee and bite to eat, But given the location this area must consider building toilets so customers don't have to go across the road to use facilities which I found inconvenient to say the least! Not good enough, yet they want you to spend and browse in their shops but fail to have toilets close by!
Very impressed with the customer service at Vinnies Grange Road. Staff were friendly and attentive to me and helpful with bringing in my donations. Will definitely be utilising them in the future.
Got a great bag and 2 vases for $14 so happy, I'm going to fill the bag with toiletetress for Share The Dignity Foundation for woman in need so thanks Vinnies
A bit more than 4 years ago this store was a very pleasant place. I could buy brand new clothing of famous brand for $7-$10 each. There has always been an excellent range of silver jewellery (every week the range was replenished) including world famous brands. Children's clothing were quite cheap and I bought a lot of items and toys for my son. About 3 years ago something happened. Maybe a new management came. I saw new faces at that time. Prices for everything, especially for clothing in this op-shop became so high! In retail during the sale period I can buy these same items at a lower price. The range of jewellery is not replenished at all. Everything that is on the display or in cabinet near the counter is there for 2-3 years, and the range of jewellery does not change for ages. I wonder, where is the jewellery that people donate every single day? For example, in Savers stores I can buy even gold jewellery and the range of jewellery on the display is pretty good. Everything is look like that Vinnies stores it's a real retail business that has nothing to do with the non for profit organization.
This "thrift" store is overpriced by miles. More expensive than the Myre Centre. I've bought new clothes, delivered to my home at less than half the price of this thrift store.
The manager of this Vinnies needs to take a walk through West Lakes mall and discover the true cost of new clothing. Its a recession. New dresses are available everywhere for $12-$20 yet this Vinnies damaged, stretched second hand dress is $40. Its not realistic. Bric a Brac should not cost $50.
This Vinnies is the most expensive op-shop I've ever been too. They have a great selection but 90% of the clothing I looked at was damaged, well worn & stained & they were asking prices as if they were new. Most dresses were $9 up to over $100. I saw many, many Kmart branded items which cost less than $5 new being charged at double their original prices.
The staff members were also abrupt & rude. They are ridiculously strict about change rooms & check every item - you would think it was a high end department store.
I spent over $40 & had forgotten to bring a bag - the sales assistant sold me one for 10 cents & remarked that I would have to carry the rest as it is a waste of bags! So rude! So I had to make 2 trips to my car as most of the items were books (which ARE reasonably priced).
As I was re-entering the store there was a kerfuffle about someone who had apparently 'stolen' a top. After screaming after the woman in front of customers & children they checked the tapes & the woman had returned it to the rack! Unbelievable & uncharitable behaviour.
The owners of this store need to remember that the items are donated FREE OF CHARGE & are there for those in need who cannot afford to shop retail. You are doing a disservice to the community by continuing to operate in this way.
Overpriced! Items that aren’t even worth $20 are being priced at $40. They always have something good it’s just a shame they charge an arm and a leg. They also have no idea what’s authentic and what is counterfeit so it’s likely you will find fake Lacoste, Polo, Burberry, etc but still priced as if it were real.
Sometimes have some nice pieces but prices are not op shop prices much too high for this type of shop, one particular Indian woman who works there is extremely rude.
The prices here are disgustingly high. My understanding was that this is an op shop- the standard price on a dress should NOT be between $35 and $50! You should be ashamed of yourselves. The staff were quite stand-offish/ bordering on rude. Quite an awful experience, save your time and go to the lovely little shops nearby!
Today, Wednesday 25th of September i was at vinnies looking for an Hawaiian shirt for a fancy dress for my sister. The shop was so clean
and smelt so fresh it was like being in a new shop. I was approached by a
very nice young girl who's name i have forgotten, she asked if i needed help which i did. I had taken a photo of the shirt to send to my sister but was not sure how to do it. She was so nice and showed me how to send a photo through messenger on my phone, i would thoroughly recommend to my friends about going to vinnies. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Dropped off items no longer required. The donation was much appreciated. Please consider Vinnies if you have unwanted stuff.
Two times encountered very rude responses from staff including sarcastic comments when I asked about availability of items. Last nail on coffin is when I called to ask about a transaction made on my card 2 weeks after I had visited the store the store manager said he has no idea what happened and couldn’t even refer me to someone that did. Well I like the items there but I really am a great fun of good customer care and respect for fellow humans
Prices are ridiculous! Had a look the other day as we are on a very low income and in need of some furniture there wasn't a single bit of furniture that didnt have a stupidly high price tag on it. St Vinnies used to be for the needy but not anymore, this store is a disgrace
Vinnies @ Kidman Park is Awesome Lots of awesome Clothing to buy plus lots of other great things to look at
Great op shop. Big range, friendly staff. Also sell local school uniforms and offer a fitting process which you book online was very convenient.
You really need to remember what Vinnies is and should be! Far too expensive, your not a fancy retail shop in Burnside. 18 year old pants for $68 you should be ashamed!
Hot tip: Salvos and Red Cross are in the same complex. Head there down for op-shops galore!
With the other two op-shops, it gets pretty busy. It looks like they make an effort to put out good products and the staff were helpful when I was there.
The shop is fairly large and has a good selection of furniture as well as your usual clothes and bric-a-brac.
I was happy that I managed to pick up a pair of leather shoes which looked brand new.
