Vinnies Hawthorn reviews
13Great range of clothes, ceramics, nicknacks, glassware, homewares, handbags, and even secondhand school uniforms. Plenty of toys and kids' clothes. Friendly staff.
Prices have become ridiculous lately as we come to this shop weekly. Not very good seeing the cost of living for people is going up in the community and this is a charity.
Vinnie's is the king of op-shops. Expect quality 2nd hand merch at reasonable prices rather than a dirt cheap jumble. Vinnie's means good merchandising and a pleasant, uncluttered environment.
Vinnies is a really nice shop. There’s a good choice of toys? , books & clothes. The prices are really good!
Love this shop, very friendly and helpfull staff, always find something here, clothes clean and in good order, but please register, they have already had an unfair fine, a charity shop really? Run by volunteers, so people please be responsible
Went to this Vinnie's and found a glass plate for 6 dollars. I took it to the counter and the server looked at it, told me it was ROYAL DOULTON and she was sending it back to be repriced because they could sell it for A LOT MORE MONEY and I couldn't buy it. I put all my other purchases back and I will NEVER come back to this store and I will think twice before donating with plenty of other charities to choose from. POOR FORM VINNIE'S HAWTHORN!
Edit: Original post stated Vinnie's Norwood, sorry Vinnie's at Norwood. You guys are fine.
Very expensive comparing to other op shops, Vinnies around Adelaide considering they sell donations with volunteer staff.
Have been here on 2 occasions now and had a terrible experience with staff members.
Last time I asked if a group of 4 chairs could be split into 2 and had a very stern reply of “of course not, why would we split them” and then walking away.
Felt absolutely degraded by asking a normal question.
Today I just went in and upon arrival straight away get yelled at about not seeing the check in covid sign and signing in. Could have just politely asked me.
Both of these older women are horrendous at customer service. I should have asked for their names because they deserve a name and shame.
If I could give this 0 stars I would.
Was great to get some positive help from young lady in Uniform store, thank you your help and knowledge a definite bonus.
A large op shop with good variety. Neat, well organised with a spacious layout. Lots of books across most genres, DVDs and CDs. Good selection of kids clothes, books and some toys. Prices good on clothes, reasonable on most other things.
I love shopping here. Great items for children - toys, clothes, costumes, books. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Love the book area, although preferred it when it was larger. Enjoy browsing through the craft section, kitchen gadgets, cards, furniture, haberdashery. Lots of good quality bargains. A very pleasant experience to visit!
Great little shop. Has alot of stock. Great for getting cushions to sell the house. Staff very friendly
Very well organised and presented op shop, some furniture, plenty of clothes and bric a brac. Good shop.
