Vinnies reviews
8We donated quite often here in their donation bin, yet once we purchased something from here the lady cashier just straight bit rude.
Well organised store, all the staff are lovely! Nice environment, always new great quality items. Highly recommend A+
A fun store - always nice glass /china items, good mix of dvd, kids toys, good mens section, other clothes. Well presented, smells fresh and clean, not musty at all.love the hilarious staff, always have a good laugh and cheery words with Hedy, Jennifer and team.
I have no idea which person is the boss, everyone gets along well.just a footnote, read another review by "Chelsea" of one of the "volunteers" saying 'I don't know why I bothered coming in', and that she felt the heaters were on too high. 1.these days old age pensioners, instead of getting the pension are forced to work, some till they are nearly seventy to get a dole payment, as their age pension has been taken away.they have to work for their dole, or get nothing as no one will employ the elderly. Secondly it is the middle of winter, being older they feel the cold intensely, let alone little aged illnesses like arthritis, rheumatism and diabetes are made worse with cold. Being a younger person, move though the store quickly or go outside from time to time to cool off. It's not nice to grouse on Nana's and Poppies forced to work for a dole payment rather than get a well deserved age pension. They are volunteering to help the poor, rather than finding fault publicly, you should encourage them privately.
The volunteers are grumpy and short with customers (and one another). Today, I overheard very loud complaining and criticizing from a lady in the back room, including "I don't know why I bothered coming in! " It was very awkward! I understand that working in retail can be challenging at times, but I have witnessed this on multiple occasions. The heater was also turned on so ridiculously high, to the point I had to leave. The staff (and customers) looked uncomfortable.
Went in, mostly looking for rings, turns out there are barely any because the (rude and grumpy) cashier was hoarding bags full for someone specific. Worst Vinnies I’ve ever been to, get better staff.
Not the best of service. The lady behind the counter was grumpy. We ended up leaving and putting our things back because if her treatment of customers. It felt awkward in there.
Interesting store & many quirky finds. Definately worth checking out from time to time.
Vinnie's at Valley View has a wide range of goods with interesting displays and good organisation. The staff are not so friendly preferring to chat with each other than customers.
