Vine Shed Venue & Cellar Door

I’m so torn on this review, the space is beautiful, the pizzas were divine.
But the drinks left so much to the imagination. I decided to try their sangria but was disappointed- $18 got me a haphazard drink of frozen berries thrown into a glass and topped with some (long life?) oj and red wine. No fresh fruit, the soggy berries blogged up the straw and not really any interesting flavour.

Wonderful venue. Relaxed open space with lots of rooom. Perfect for family get togethers. Great menu with lots of options to suit almost everyone. Staff are super friendly and very accommodating.

My daughter recommended the Vine Shed for a function and it did not disappoint. Happy to pass on our experience to others when they are looking for venue.

Fantastic food, service was friendly and fast. Live music added to the atmosphere while the kids played on the grass and cubby house.

Had a family lunch at Vine Shed. Service was awesome as was the food served. Catered for kids. After lunch we all spent quite a time in the grounds playing with the kids and adults alike. Such a great venue and was enjoyed by everyone

What an amazing little hidden gem hiding just outside of Maclaren Vale. Amazing atmosphere, great food and brilliant service. Overlooking the historic grapevines of one of the most iconic wine regions in South Australia. A fantastic spot to spend a rainy afternoon sampling wines and foods with your family and friends around the camp fire listening to some music.

Such a friendly greeting and fabulously warm and friendly service. We shared a number of pizzas at our table and enjoyed them all with a shared bottle of Conte Shiraz. We also enjoyed playing the lawn games and the musician Petar Cirovic. Perfect afternoon with our family. Definitely will return.

They only had one pizza oven operating but it was fully booked out - expect a very long wait. Our table of 5 adults and 2 kids waited for over an hour and half for our (nothing special) pizzas. Wines were nice.

A lovely long lunch! Beautiful grounds surrounded by vines. Great colouring supplies and play spaces for our little people. Friendly and welcoming team. Great coffee and the zeppole with chocolate ganache…. OMG! We look forward to returning again soon to share with friends.

Beautiful wedding venue. Shame they didn't open up for outdoor seating for those who needed to escape the loud music later in the night.
Staff very good, above and beyond.

In Summer I photographed a beautiful wedding and it was a very hot day, the staff were excellent in supplying umbrellas and mist canners as well as fast service on ice-cold beverages.
The reception room is a lovely large room and the grounds were quite large with plenty of photographic options. The driveway was absolutely a highlight to photograph.

Valentines Day.
Nice venue, food was ok. Very friendly staff that made us feel welcome. It was disappointing that there was no way to communicate with the venue, we wanted to add another couple to our table, we tried for 2 days but none of our phone calls were answered or messages returned and no reply to our emails, this spoiled the occasion.

This is THE place you want to get married! The venue is absolutely stunning. Dianna, Lorraine and the entire team of staff are absolutely beautiful people. 10/10 food! We would do it all again in a heart beat. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Mr and Mrs Penman x

Food and wine was good, pretty much non-existent beer choice if you are the one in the group that doesn't drink wine. With all the awesome local breweries around the southern vales a bit of cross pollination might be mutually beneficial and give punters like me a better choice than 3 bland commercial beers.
Edit post owners response - seems I missed a star as it was intended to be a 4 star review not 3, and as previously stated the food, wine and service were all good. However, please note I did ask the staff at the bar about the beer other than what's on the menu and it was Hahn on tap but I was not informed of your usual offering as you have described and there was nothing on your menu about it either hence my comments.

Today My husband and I celebrated our 43rd Wedding Anniversary. Maria and Lorraine really looked after us, the food is delicious and the staff are so lovely and helpful, would highly recommend for anyone wanting a great food experience. Great Wedding venue too.

I have done all of these and everytime I am blown away. The food is amazing, the location is great, staff are friendly and very knowledgeable as well as having great recommendations for a matching wine or drink.
The live entertainment is always great too.

Great venue for a family celebration and very child friendly. Menu has so much variety and Arancini Balls are a must! Grilled Prawn and Chirizo Skewers are delicious but you must like hot spicy chorizo! So many Pizzas to choose from. The Shiraz was my favourite although I also enjoyed the Cab Sav too. Staff are so friendly and service is terrific. Will certainly return during the week to enjoy the pasta! Thank you all at The Vine Shed for an enjoyable lunch.

We had a party for my grandsons birthday on the deck. The pizzas, charcuterie plates and the kids pizzas were fab. The outside is just as great as inside. Staff were so accomodating Playground for the kìds. They didnt come inside the whole time except for Birthday song and cake. It is such a beautiful place.
