Vietnam Village Restaurant reviews
44Excellent food, salt and pepper prawns and squid are particularly delicious. Very relaxed surroundings. Limited parking.
Best salt and pepper squid in Adelaide. Excellent rice hot pot. Consistently excellent. You go for the food, not the decor.
Food is amazing, fast and fresh; beautiful pickled Vietnamese vegetables served as a garnish with crispy fried eggplant is a standout. Cannot recommend it enough and the prices are very generous. Do yourself a favour: get down here
Haven't been here for nearly 20 years. Same great service, excellent food and, what is now, a quirky vintage vibe. Still serving Fried Ice Cream - love it.
Have been here many times. Last visit wasn't so good but tonite they redeemed themselves. So I will put last visit down to a bad night. They are packed tonite so that tells a story. Keep up the good work.
Cannot go past. Delicious food eat in or take away. Has been at Thebarton for at least 25 years and has an excellent reputation. Family run business
Really nice Vietnamese food for a reasonable price. Good serving sizes, excellent service and off street parking out the back
First time here but will definitely be back. Parking is just behind the building as there are no signs showing where to park. Will definitely be back to try more dishes! Hotpot servings in small is already good for two persons! A hidden gem in Adelaide specially if you want great quality, big servings at a good price!
Just a great place, always busy & full of people. Such well prepared food. Can't reccomend it enough, best to book though.
We have been going to Vietnam Village for about seven years and it is consistently excellent food and great service. Also the atmosphere is nice as not over noisy because it is carpeted and there is good spaces
between tables.
Authentic food that never disappoints.the salt n pepper squid is such a winner, I we ordered a second serve. Fantastic warm and friendly staff, from a local Thebarton, award winning family run business.
Had dinner last night at V. V first time in many years and wow just superb. Service food everything was outstanding definitely be back soon. Oh and do yourself a favor order the sizzling fillet steak awesome
Most of the restaurants in Mile End and Thebarton close to James Condon Drive are hidden. Vietnam Village is one of them.
This little restaurant has really good food with great customer service.
Loved it. Haven't been here in years. Just as good as it was. Seafood quality is excellent.
Loved the entree plate. Rice pot. Pepper steak and Salt and pepper prawns and squid.
Excellent service. Fantastic food. Don't miss out!
Great fresh food. Quick efficient service. A great staple, I.e a regular place to go. Been here for years and no wonder. A quality place to be for a reasonable price.
Consistently great! We have tried many different Vietnamese restaurants but always return to our favourite. Food is absolutely amazing, great location, easy to park.
Horrible place for Vietnam food. The rice noodle soup comes with frozen seafood and frozen bbq pork slice, boiled with water. Just taste no flavour. Maybe I tried so many good Vietnam restaurants in Adelaide, this place just make me feels getting ripped off. $15 for a 2minutes noodle soup and waiting for 40 minutes. I’m terribly sorry that I leave when it comes to the table. If you have a look at the food they served, nothing is fresh and kind like the fast food restaurant food. Anyway, I won’t go there at all.
Tried the Vietnamese egg noodle soup, which I expected to be Pho with nice thick egg noodles and lots of flavour but it wasn't. It was a mix of frozen prawns and assorted meats with some stringy little egg noodles in boiled water with no seasoning or flavour. There was no flavour at all. I couldn't eat it even when I tried. We had to just pay and leave. When I said it was not what I expected I was told "we don't do Pho" but when you read "Vietnamese noodle soup - mixed" that's what I believe most people would expect. Whatever I was served had no salt or seasoning at all. Will not be coming back.
Went here for my birthday as we were not able to get a seat in the Vietnam restaurant that we often visit. Everything that we ordered tasted so good. Generous serving, perfect for sharing. Unlike the Vietnam restaurant in Addison Road, this place won't make you feel like they want you out the door the moment you finish your food! Highly recommended and this is now our new go-to vietnam restaurant!
Only one issue is the limited parking in the area.other than that, the experience was superb!
