Velvet & Willow Wines - Cellar Door reviews
31The young lady that served us was very friendly, the food (bacon, sausage, eggs toast was so tasty.) After we had eaten we went a walk around the stunning garden.
We had a really beautiful breakfast at this place and the setting in the garden is quite unique. A lovely relaxed atmosphere, good food and service and a great way to start a day
Quaint cafe with a lovely garden. Seemed more like a coffee shop where you can buy cheap wine and do tastings.
The main sign advertises tastings from 10am on Saturdays, however when we went we were told they didn’t actually start till 1pm.
Not many food options (basically just what’s in the display + smoothie bowls) but a nice place to grab a coffee.
What a beautiful space. A quaint little cafe in the tiny town of Auburn. It's worth stopping in for a coffee or light snack. I got a nice cappuccino to pair with their home made brownie. An excellent way to spend a beautiful morning in this part of the world. They have an expansive garden you can wander through as well. Or if you like, sit out front and watch the world go by. And wonderful friendly service too.
The Velvet and Willow Pantry is a stunning venue. You can eat inside, outside in the courtyard or under the pavilion as we did. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast / brunch menu has a lot of variety. We all chose the poached eggs on toast.and they were delicious. We also enjoyed a walk around the heritage garden which was truly amazing. A definite place to stop and enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat.
Surprisingly cheap coffee and toasted sandwiches for such an upmarket looking place. Nice staff, yummy food and good coffee. A good way to set yourself up for a drive or even spend a lazy afternoon knocking back a vino or three-for those of you lucky enough to have a designated driver.
What a lovely place to share breakfast. We sat in the Henry Wylie Heritage garden. Our food was delicious.
We will return
Great light lunches, coffee and cakes in the cafe. Beautiful garden and outdoor area. Wine tasting and great wines.
Snuck in early for the coffee and a muffin. Coffee was great and the muffin was a perfect mix of moist fruity insides with a crunchy outside
This place has a fairly small indoor area but a large open garden area which is pretty with lots of shady trees. A lovely spot for coffee and morning tea, particularly on a nice day. Service was prompt and friendly.
Delightful heritage garden but the food options at the French Festival on Sunday morning were somewhat underwhelming and the coffee lacked strength.
We had a group of 14 come through Velvet & Willow for a guided wine tasting, then breakfast the next morning in late April 2021. A delightful setting with high quality wine, coffee and food. If you are passing through Auburn or staying overnight, be sure to drop in at Velvet & Willow.
PS. They have a magnificent garden out the back so make sure you have a wander around:)
Coffee was nice. Wanted to get some wine and cheese as stated on website however tasting room was not open.
Amazing ham and cheese toasted sandwiches and greet coffee. Lovely garden and old cottage building.
Superb restored old buildings & beaut i ful gardens with meandering paths, water features, randomly placed benches, large pergola, pristone restrooms.
Enjoyable coffee and chai. Small but lovely indoor area, toasty warm. Outdoor terrace was lovely, with beautiful adjacent garden. One of the few places open in Auburn on a weekday. Also wandered around Auburn.really neat town with lots of charmng old buildings.
Very limited menu, coffee average, toasted sandwich nice, scones ordinary, but no serviettes, very nice spot in the garden a missed oppurtunity for a great Cafe IMO
Just had a most average experience @ one of our fav country cafes. Coffee came out in a paper cup. Was told dishwasher was broken trying 2 minimise dishes.really? How difficult is it 2 wash some cups. It wasn’t overly busy for a Sunday. Coffee was dishwater weak. When I took it back the girl offered a double but it wasn’t much better. Seriously, take some pride in what u serve otherwise find another job.
Good for kids to run around outside in the garden. Nice coffee. Good food, although not a huge menu to choose from.
Gorgeous gardens, lovely wine and they made us a delicious platter to enjoy on a lovely day. CJ was working and he was friendly and provided awesome service thanks guys
