Vears Taxis

Called to get a cab at 6.30 on a Monday night, cancelled at 7pm because no one picks up to let us know when it would arrive. Booked a cab at 9pm on the same Monday night, told no one in front of you, still waiting at 9.43pm. Called at 9.15 and told we are next. Next when?

2 hour wait on Saturday. Then called for one to be at my door at 9: 45am for an event. No where to be seen. 10: 10 called again, still looking. Don't take the booking if you can't meet the time agreed on. Then- the meter stopped at $16.90- then they added a few dollars. Then charged me different from the price on the screen. Not happy!

This company is even lucky to get A star, no wonder they got a 3.6 rating.it shows. Very bad service, attitude, not polite. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone wanting to use this service, Especially if you want your kids picked up from a special needs school.
Definately need better drivers. Absoultey NO people skills

After the first taxi didn't show up after 1hr30 I called these guys. They arrived in 4 minutes

Taxi took a while to come, called back and the lady on the phone was very rude. Was told to wait. In the just gave up and called someone else.

Nigel was a legend driver. Got us to our destination super quick, ensured we could get home quickly too. Highly recommend. Sadly we booked a time with another company 5 hours prior and they never arrived. Call to Vears got us a taxi within 15 minutes.

Had two bookings on the same night, both to and from dinner. Neither taxi arrived within an hour of the time frame. What is the point of booking a taxi if you’re not going to turn up. Uber cannot come quick enough!

Tried ordering a cab from them after my nightshift ended (ordered 20min before shift end). Told me they were on the way and will be waiting. Finished my shift, no pick up after waiting 10 minutes, I called asking if the were on the way.

The cranky bloke on the other end, admonished me for inquiring about where they are (even though they told me they'd be there, as I booked it about 20min earlier). Then when asked how long they would be because I just finished my night shift and was out in the cold, the bloke just straight hung up on me. Well, waited another 5 minutes as I was unsure if they were still coming or not (spoilers, they didn't).

Called Lake City, got picked up in minutes and away I went.

Absolutely abysmal service, attitude and response. Do better If you're capable (or even willing to).

Everytime I've used this service the drivers take 40+ min to arrive. Half the time it would honestly be faster to walk

By a country mile Vears Taxis are the best taxi service in Mt Gambier and for surrounding towns in the South East. Reliable service when it comes to bookings or a normal pick-up.
Very friendly and courteous drivers.
Very clean and tidy cars. No smells!
Fares are by the far the fairest and the lowest.
Highly recommend Vears Taxis if you have had issues with other Mt Gambier Taxi Companies.
