United Port Wakefield (Pie Face)

Best coffee and pie I have ever tried. Always welcoming and spotless ambience. The wash rooms are clean but it was people making the mess. And I thank the team for the nice customer service with an extra effort.

Hey there! THANK YOU Pie Face at Port Wakefield! You have the Best Staff who are ALWAYS happy, Smiling and friendly and they have not only the best fuel but the BESTEST food ever! I’m not a coffee drinker due to stomach issues but was introduced to freshly made cappuccino’s by a dear friend at Pie Face Port Wakefield “white with three sugars” … and OH WOW! Best place to stop by. The toilets and store looks always clean. Hot food to go tastes yummy. I read other’s reviews found a lot of difference. Wanna keep going there. Appreciate the excellent customer service from staff.

Just checked in. The pies are top notch with an excellent service at the nigth time especially from Akhil.

Good food Coffee. They don't know how to clean restrooms. Hot food is only warm, well below the safe temperature.

Akhil is always so friendly and helpful at 5am when I stop for food! Store is clean and always has everything I need.

Not impressed with the service. The person who served me had a earpiece in his ear and was more interested in his phone call than anything else. I won't stopping here again.

Difficult to get into as you have to enter what is perceived via the back entrance. The first time I've used it since the new road works, while heading back to Adelaide.
Then I asked my wife to pay for the petrol before finishing filling the tank. Initially charged $115 for half a tank of petrol plus a few nibbles. She decided to question this. Yet another long wait in line.
Luckily the attendant was able to recover the receipt and notice the error, then promptly refunded $50+. That's a big error. From now on I will request a copy of the receipt and make other cars wait while I pay for my petrol. The setup of the petrol tanks needs looking at.

First time having pie face. The chicken curry pie is awesome. The pie is hot, crusty and fluffy.

Stopped here last Friday night for a Coffee on the way home as we've never been here before.
The toilets were very clean and the Coffee was very good. I felt for the girl at the counter being there on her own to serve at the counter, make Coffee and run the pumps, however she seemed very capable of keeping everything moving.
We've never had a Pie form Pie Face, and they looked quiet interesting, and had put it on our bucket list. It was also possible to grab a couple from the Fridge and I think that's a good idea.
Overall, a good experience.

I’ve read other reviews and found a lot of variations on opinion and satisfaction. We call in every time we pass through PW and occasionally at the end of the day the bathrooms are needing a clean. They can’t be spotless all the time as it’s the public making the mess.
Fuel prices are always the best. Spacious fuelling area and easy access. The self serve coffee is good quality and value. The food and drinks are of a great standard for highway takeaways with the bakery line a point of difference. We always find the hardworking staff ready to return a smile. We will continue to support them in their venture.
Management needs to pay more attention to understaffing and tidiness.

Fuel prices finally got competitive. Clean tidy business. Staff very helpful. Clean, tidy rest rooms. Upped the star rating to 5. Keeping fuel cost down.

For such a new station (only opened what like 18 months ago?) all the pumps except one, have faulty pre-fill, payment devices (this is where you put in how much petrol you want to pay for and the pump stops, at that payment amount) have told this to staff, on at least four separate occasions, with nothing happening. Last night I went to put $20.00 in my car, and once again, the pre-fill did not work. None of the window washing buckets had any water in them, the bins underneath them were full and the general state of the servo inside was grotty. The one staff member behind the counter, appeared to be doing nothing, but staring vacantly into space. Finally, this servo is very quick to hike up prices, (gone from 173 cents a litre to 179 cents a litre virtually overnight) but extremely slow to bring prices down. Only go there because it currently is the cheapest servo in Wakefield. Nothing else going for it.

Worst service ever, waited 10 minutes to be served, then another 20 minutes for a cup of chips, at least they were hot, not like the dimsims already cooked.

The service I received here will be the last. The young girl behind the counter Thursday night was less than impressed to be there. Customer service is paramount. We'd been driving for 11 hours, tired and looking forward to a coffee and a break we unfortunately stopped here. Lack of attention, eye contact and body language said it all. We won't be back, there are plenty of others to choose from which we will certainly do next time We all have bad days but every customer is different, a nice smile and hello is all one needs?

Great pies, putting them in the oven first makes a big difference. Only downside is they only have machine coffee

Service food and fuel price all OK.but give the coffee a miss. Arguably the worst we have ever had anywhere!
