Udder Delights Cheese Cellar

Absolutely brilliant service, today I took my vision impaired client there to meet her mum
for lunch. When we got there all the tables upstairs were full, the lady who served us was very apologetic and told us we could eat downstairs if we wanted too, she then helped myself by holding onto my handbag and my client by communicating to her by guiding her down the stairs.
Once we were seated she told us that she would take our orders so we didn't have to go upstairs again

Just had breakfast there and it was delicious. We can highly recommend The hot pot and the crumpets. Great service too. We will be back.

They us in from the cold and rain just minutes after closing, friendly, helpful with fantastic recommendation of wine-cheese-chutney combo! Udder Delights cheese is delish!

I wanted to have a High Tea to celebrate a friends birthday so on reading reviews I booked
Udder Delights for 4 people. I looked at the photos and thought it didn’t look like a lot but
thought it was just a photo probably didn’t have it all. It showed sandwiches and little chocolates
and the cakes looked a good size, staff very friendly and showed us down to the cellar which was
great had it all to ourselves. We started with a coffee and two 3 tiered stands that looked very bare
what was on the plates were very small, crackers to go with the cheese were very small and no sandwiches, two very small cupcakes and tiny little tarts. We feel at $45 a head very expensive for
what we received, I took photos and was a little embarrassed that I did this for my friend, we have had
High Teas before and were provided with a lot more food on the plates.

Watch the bottom step up, at front of building, not normal height, you can quite easily trip up if not watching carefully.
Not as expected, small range of cheese.

Purchased our cheese wedding cake from here, rang to see if we could come up and try a few cheeses before we purchased and unexpectedly got a full run through tasting of all of our options from Tracey who was very helpful

What we love is to make up a grazing board from the great selection of goodies offered up and then sitting out under the beautiful trees and indulging.

Went to Udder Delights for a lazy Saturday brunch / lunch and had the most lovely platter which could be made gluten free for us. The staff were so lovely even though the lady on the table next to us was extremely rude to one of the staff members. Would recommend!

A lovely experience, we had a cheese tasting session there while on a short tour of the town. The lady running the talk knew about their cheese and it is very special to hear a local story about something that is made close by, in small quantities rather than mass produced far-far away. Wee enjoyed it and were happy with what we saw.
The choice of cheeses was not extensive, which obviously has pros and cons. Perhaps there's less to satiate someone who loves hard cheeses than the softer varieties, but I suppose they sell what they specialise in.

The best the best the best! We fell in love with their cheese!
In case you want to know where to purchase their cheese, we found a couple ones from Coles. Please let me know where else I can get their cheese outside of SA!

Great ambience, I'm so happy to get some truffle oil, every little detail from the freshly picked flowers to the reading material the artwork and the products, great coffee it was a very lovely experience, loved the truffle cheddar toastie!

Its a great place for coffee and cake. The cheeses are good to try out as well. The staff are excellent kind and friendly. When in Hahndorf we usually go here.

This is a good spot to fulfill your cheese cravings. Grab a table at the terrace, bask in the sun, and watch people stroll past as your bite into the truffled cheddar toastie, and as you swirl the kranski slice into the Swiss Fondue pot.

Don't forget to order cheese for takeaway for your at-home entertaining and grazing needs. Ask the friendly staff for their recommendations!

P.s. I wish their fondue selection had a wider selection of morsels to dip into the cheese pot.

Great coffee. There is a large selection of cheese and a dedicated expert. I didn't purchase any on this occasion but I am sure it won't be a let down.

Be sure to book in for a cheese making course! Fun and informative, and you get to sample their cheeses, cakes, and some local wines in the process!

The dining experience was lovely and the customer service was exceptional here. I just wish the cheese fondue had a bit more to offer i.e. Olives, cured meats.

I have bought this cheese over the previous 6 months. Compared to the first time of about 6 months ago which was incredibly soft almost French quality like.

In the Following months the cheese has certainly not been as soft and it’s quite disappointing. The price has not changed but the quality certainly has.

I do not now considered this cheese as a quality soft cheese like it did before. I don’t know what has changed in production! But it is disappointing!

Service is great and so is the food. Love having breakfast there before the pop up market. Had the beans, bacon and poached egg topped with delicious cheese. Great coffee too. What more do you want. Maybe some cheese on the way home.

The fondue is AMAZING! I am not a huge cheese person, but my husband is, and we both loved it! Really loved the fresh rolls that came with it, and the balsamic onions and pear paired so well together with the cheese. Kransky was super delicious too, and my husband really enjoyed his dark hot chocolate made with real chocolate.

Wonderful food, service, and a lovely venue. We had the fondue, absolutely perfect. Best food in Hahndorf hands down. Finally somewhere that isn't just serving the same food, from the same butcher, like the rest of town.
Do yourself a favour and try the fondue. Great for lunch.
