Tumby Bay Bakery reviews
39Very popular spot with tourists and locals alike. Quite crowded and rather noisy the day we were there. A good crowd is always a good sign that the food is top quality.
We went for a drive to Tumby Bay and stopped into the bakery. Wow -Very busy little bakery …. Delicious quiche, pie and fabulous coffee. Will definitely visit again as we have decided to stay a few days.
Amazing coffee. Spoilt for choice of Amazing food. Service outstanding. Thanks everyone for a great snack.
Amazing bakery, such a big choice of cakes and pastries and very friendly staff who make great coffee AA+.
Passing through and decided to get some lunch to consume later.
Brilliant bakery with great range of food. Purchased coffees and some ready made rolls out of the fridge. So fresh and tasty, and one of the exceptionally few places we visited that had wholemeal rolls and sandwiches ready to go.
Very impressed by the service and standard of food.
Great variety of bread and bakery items pies etc. Also sandwiches, croissants rolls with meat, salad etc. Really good coffee. Friendly staff. A plea d use to have had lunch there. Highly recommend.
Really great iced coffee, steak pie and banana & caramel muffin. Travelling around Aus, we have found ourselves rating the best pies and this place ties first with another in Victoria. Def stop in here if you’re in tumby bay.
Really good bakery, plenty of options. The cheeseburger pie was excellent, the seafood pie was good but probably a bit sweet for my liking. Eaten here a few times now, never disappointed
The best pie I have ever had. Recommended.
They have various types of pies, pasties and sweets.
YUM! Wanted to get one of everything. Delicious fresh bakery items + pies + sandwiches. If you're nearby it's absolutely worth stopping at!
Not disappointed! Very yummy apple (with ginger?) danish, donuts for kids and three sausage rolls for hubby:) Coffee great also.
What a beautiful spot everything is absolutely delicious! The girls are super friendly I can't fault it. The coffee is amazing
Amazing bakery! Lots of choice, very reasonable prices, amazing quality, very nice staff. Be cautious, you will want to have another one of their yummy goods.
Took a detour on our way from Whyalla to Port Lincoln. So glad we did! Excellent caravan parking available around the corner and the pies were excellent! My husband, a self confessed pie aficionado had the chunky steak and mushroom. Full of juicy beef chunks, mushrooms and tasty gravy. The pastry was flaky on top and delicious on the bottom. My pie was seafood. They had run out of plain chunky beef and I’m probably glad they did. Lots of tender calamari, prawns and a scollop in a delicious white sauce. I’m in pie heaven! Topped off with a shared vanilla slice - yes it was big enough for two - yum!
Decided to call in to Tumby to check it out & as I was driving towards the beach I saw this quaint building which was packed so I stopped outside. It was the bakery. I patiently waited my turn to be served which gave me the chance to look at their huge selection of not only pies, pastys and sweet cakes but also freshly made foccacia, rolls, croissants etc. Definitely worth the visit. Food was delicious!
We had a really nice lunch here, I had a curry pie and my wife had a quiche. The pie was delicious and the quiche was good also. I had a good coffee and we finished with a sweet sticky tart, can't remember what it was but it was good.
Highly recommend
We stopped in for a quick snack, tried the pizza pie. Great flavours and I would definitely stop by again.
Unfortunately I’d already had my daily quoter of coffee, so I will have to try it next time.
Ordered Steak and Mushroom Pie, was quite possibly the worst pie I've come across, big chunks of flavour less steak, two pieces of rubbery mushroom but no mushroom flavour, could taste a bit of pepper that's it and the pastry was just plain awful, the chocolate eclair was good but lacked depth. After seeing their TV commercial where it advertised they had gluten free options we drove 70km in the Hope of having a gluten free bakery options. On arrival I asked what was gf? They pointed me to one frittata and a couple of 50 cent size piece of sweet. Not what I expected after it’s clearly mentioned on their TV advert, very disappointing!
Needless to say amazing food and coffees. Will always visit if passing by and of course the staff is very efficient and hospitable.
