13This is a significant attraction of the Loxton area, signifying the flood levels over the years gone by. A great park with shelter and bbq facilities and playground for the kids Great place for a family picnic, also great to see when we do have a flood event, which is not that often these days.
Went here thinking the tree was something about flood markings, turns out the tree is whimsical. It blessed me with a sense of euphoria. Parking was difficult however, and wheelchair access was not great.
Very worthy of a view. So much information regarding flood levels over the years. 1956 level still amazes me. Probably a couple of metres higher than the 2022 flood
Amazing to see how many times the river has flooded and to what level, but people still build at the lower levels
Heard all about it when the flood was on, and seeing it for real was interesting and seeing all the flood levels.
Interesting site with fascinating history in a magnificent Australian setting. Must see for Aussies and Internationals alike.
Clean BBQ, good little playground for children, clean public toilets. Great place to spend the day with family.
It's a tree with flood level marked on it. If you want to know about the flood history go to the historical village. All ok Jim
An amazing piece of history that you need to visit! So interesting to see the different water levels we have experienced over the years. Crazy to see how high the water can go and crazy to see the floods that Loxton experienced from a different perspective. Well maintained and near a BBQ area and a playground which is great fun for the kids.
An interesting place that basically provides the visitor knowledge of past floods in the area, some of which put you under the water line. A must see bit of history.
Clean bbq area with public toilets. Lovely grass area and it's very interesting to see the flood levels. Playground area not far from bbq's
When you see the height of the 1931 1 flood makes you think it would have been a good place for Noah to launch his ark
Beautiful place right on the river. Caravan Park nearby and bbq facilities and playground for little ones.
