Traveller's Rest Hotel reviews
19Drove past this place a million times and it never looked that busy. We decided to stop here for lunch after a big hike. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendly barman. We had a few ice cold beers that hit the spot and a great burger for lunch. Definitely worth stopping here if driving through.
Always a good place to have a meal and relax. I had fish and chips with salad, beautiful meal but the fish batter was a bit soggy this time normally lovely and crunchy but still delicious.
Went here for a quick dinner one night, grabbed a couple of chicken parmi's and were happy with our meals.
We thought it was value for money - large serves (we couldn't finish) and good flavours.
Maybe a little too heavy with the nap sauce, but other than that, we couldn't complain.
I dont drink and havnt been in a pub for years but that place was realy nice I only sat out front in veranda area waiting to meet a lady.great view nice breeze comfortable and every one who went in sad hello and where quite friendly yeah was there about twenty minutes also the place is dog friendly liked it there if I drank looking for a hang out that would be the place, also I didn't go in but seeing the pictures Looks good.

Good drinking hole.if you passing through stop for a cool drink before you plan your road trip or just have a break.great food & service.
No Coopers Pale ale on tap however they stock it in stubbies, was nice and cold service was very friendly
Great Value.
Heaps of space for parking.
Short walk to the pub with excellent meals and very secure location.
Went for lunch - food excellent. Chicken snitzel and rump steak. Cooked perfectly and plenty of it. Would recommend. One of the best meals we had in a long time. We also went back for bacon and leek soup and parmesan bread the following night. Also excellent food.
Meal was awesome, staff were friendly, professional and generous, great place for a quiet refreshment or function
Great pub. Foods fantastic. Staff very nice. Beers cold and not crowded. Well at least when we were there anyway. Dining room needs a little spruce up but clean n tidy.
There were lots of patrons being first week post Covid restrictions. Our meals took a while to come out, but were worth the wait
It was a busy night and we booked for a family birthday. Plenty of seating, good atmosphere, good staff, cheap good food. I ordered a rare steak and actually received a rare steak
Great pub. Lovely staff and great food. Made sure the kids were happy. Thanks for a great night.
It's a quiet country pub and this review is based on what it is. Don't expect anything too fancy, it's utilitarian. Drinks are.well priced. Food is reasonably priced and typically of a good standard. Staff are friendly and attentive.
This establishment once was the perfect little pub. The Travellers Rest Hotel had always been known for its chill, family oriented and local atmosphere however, this is no longer the case. Higher management refused to properly fund this local gem and have let the pub deteriorate significantly. The staff were also put under unnecessary stress, especially kitchen staff. The kitchen is too small and reaches unsafe temperatures during summer. Due to these factors it was a miracle that the old chief was able to cook such delicious meals. It’s upseting to have witnessed this Stirling North icon tragically decline in popularity.
The future of the Travellers Rest Hotel is still unclear, but hopefully with new management and better organisation this pub can regain its popularity and respect.
I don't often frequent pubs.but being my local have popped in a couple times.
The staff are awesome.polite.respectful at all times.
Special mention to Toni the barmaid.
Kim the gardener who keeps the beer garden immaculate.
I would go back just to speak to the staff!
