Torrens River

It's a great place to detach yourself from the chaos of life. Being a university student and an avid birdwatcher I love visiting the river for a walk or just to sit and relax. It's very close to the museum, art gallery, Adelaide university, UniSA, botanic park, Adelaide zoo and Rundle Mall. Great for birdwatchers and landscape illustrators. Absolutely love visiting the Torrens River! Would totally recommend.

This is Adelaide's most famous river. The river is not big or long. There are many beautiful parks and scenic spots along the river.

Had a terrific insect bite!
But other than that the family enjoyed the trip!

Lovely to walk along the river. Be careful of cyclists riding very quickly, but otherwise plenty of Birdlife and native plants to see. Just beautiful.

Beautiful and safe place for walking the dog, jogging and especially riding your bike. The path around the river is lit up by lights at night.

Nice walking/cycling trails along the river. A few bumpy/rough spots, so not great for a wheelchair in parts. Adequate lighting at night and plenty of benches to sit on and ducks to feed.
