Torrens Island Market reviews
48 It’s an awesome farmers market for fruit and veg. Straight from the farm to table and at awesome price.
More FRESH air and FRESH produce then you would get at the big bulk stores Coles, Woollies & Aldi combined!
This place is dieing, only 4 vendors at 8am, this place used to be an amazing atmosphere. These vendors need our support. Stop buying overpriced wasteful green groceries from the big box stores and help out the little vendors. We will lose this fantastic Sunday adventure if we dont help them.
A reasonable variety of produce with cheaper price than in stores. But fewer and fewer stalls since the start of this year
Great place and it’s lovely to support local I suggest not coming here first thing in the morning as they’re still setting up. We were here at 6: 30 and the stalls were still being prepared. 7: 30-8am would be ideal for a true experience. Will come back again
This is a nice market lovely stall holders. And lots of good value fruit and veg. The only issue I had was the Seven brothers stall. The staff are quite rude.
Good but most stores have no pricing so you cannot compare value. For instance if you shop and buy veggies you will not get a price until checkout. I would definitely stop and shop if I saw prices.
Bakery was the same with a sausage sizzle.no pricing. Donuts were huge.no pricing!
They can do better than that.
P. S. I only saw one store that accepted a credit card so bring cash (not many carry cash these days)
Most fresh fruit and veg I have tasted in a long time. Refuse to get fruit and veg from the supermarket. It’s all fake and genetically modified. Mandarines were so sweet juice and actually have seeds! Real food. I spent half the amount and purchased twice as much here as you would at another fruit and veg shop. Will be my regular place to shop now. Worth the trip from the south. We need more markets like this.
Try the sausage sizzle then head in to the olives the Greek old man down the back right hand side of the market heading back for all the fresh fruit and vegetables finishing off back at the bakery (first tent ️) with a cream bun donut or other sweet pastries
Most fruit and veg was off. A big disappointment. No chance for seafood any more and minimal veg supplies.
Great little market and great price, about dozen of stalls with fresh fruit and veg, olive oil, honey, bakery stall was great with sausage sizzles. If you get up early enough (6-7am), variety of freshly caught seafood at the pier (got oysters, crabs, squids, fishes, mussles) today!
It's good for fruit n veg and they have all sorts of sellers there with a wide variety of bits and pieces. Unfortunately the cafe closes a little early
This fruit and veg market used to be great, now there are hardly any stalls, veggies look old and aren't a good price very disappointed.
A small friendly outdoor market, with some real bargains to be had. Though only a dozen or so fruit/ veg stalls, it is a good Sunday morning outing.
We try and go there every Sunday but lately we've been busy working, the fruit and vegetables are cheap and the fresh donuts are nice and soft especially the big ones and the fresh fish straight off the.
Went to the market this morning no covid Marshall no Qr codes and out of a hundred os so people only saw five with masks this is why covid spreads
Pretty flat hardly any stalls not like it used to be but still bargains to be had like $2 whole cabbages $1 lettuces bag of eggplant $2 spuds were from men $2 for 5 kg good fresh wood oven style bread
Well worth a visit, great fruit and veg, at really good prices, and the bread and cakes are fantastic,
Perfect size for a market, not too small, not too big. Fresh and cheap fruit and veggies and even homemade bakery and fish! Definitely try to make it out every sunday!
Not the best experience, found out today the Fish Mongers have gone altogether and have sold out to the big boys (The Fish Factory)!
Hot and dusty today! But the market was on! Great bargains to be had in fruit and vegetables, especially if you're feeding a large family, not so for me but always worth the trip
