Tolmer Takeaway

Ordered fish and chips. Tasty and satisfying overall. We did not realise that the fish came with chips and we had far too many chips. Menu online says fish $8 but when you click to pay for fish, it says 1pc fish+ chips or 2pc fish + chips (+$4). Fish pieces aren't too big but come with heaps of chips. So for two adults and a toddler, we could have gotten away with just 2 pc fish + chips! Rather than 3 boxes of chips and medium chips too! Well seasoned, hot chips, half crunchy. Wouldn't bother with chiko roll. Would certainly return. Good value for money which is rare these days.

I gotta delivery. Got a Gaelic prawn. And. The Lot. They said 40 mins. It was at my door in 40. So much toppings. And was cooked thoroughly through. Very happy and soo was family

It was really worth to wait for 15-20 minutes! We ordered 2 large pizzas and 2 serves of fries - OMG. We were amazed by the quality and quantity of the food. Staff was really helpful and gave good suggestions to choose from the menu.

My order was cold, except for the coke, which was warm. It also arrived 1 hr and 25 minutes after I ordered it, (I was told 40 minutes when I ordered) and the garlic bread was the wrong one. It may have been an off night, but I needed to eat and go to bed, so could not be bothered dealing with them over these issues.
My order was a medium pizza, garlic bread and a bottle of coke.

This is some of the best pizza I've ever tasted and their customer service is top notch and they are just absolutely lovely people who male you want to come back for more. I seriously recommend them enough.

After a long day on the road I reached my motel in Bordertown, I normally would go eat at the local pub for dinner but today felt extra tired. So wanting an early night for tomorrow's drive decided to order a pizza from Tolmers Restaurant, they deliver so I didn't even have to leave my room. After ordering online my order was promptly delivered on time and direct to my motel door

Omg this pizza is amazing! Its like the way pizzas used to be back in the 90's, nice thick soft crust and heavily loaded with toppings. I got "the lot" and the lot I got, all the ingredients tasted fresh and the amount of toppings added was extremely generous. I haven't had a pizza this good for a very long time (possibly since the 90's)

I chucked in a few seafood sticks to bring up the minimum delivery order amount and they were perfection too, nice crunchy batter and fried in fresh oil.

Kudos to the friendly delivery driver, only a weary traveller knows how appreciated delivery to a motel is, and the food delivered was sooooo good, thankyou Tolmers Restaurant

Contrary to some of the reviews below, our meal tonight 5/5/23 (xlg pizza with the lot and a cheesy bacon garlic bread) was lovely. We have been road tripping around Australia for almost two years now and we eat out several times a week, I've lost count of the amount of times we have been left wanting. Not tonight! Our meal was fresh, delicious, huge and very reasonably priced - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Tolmer Restaurant.

Absolutely terrible base wasn't cooked even though it was thin ordered chicken pizza and got capsicum never again

The pizza was lovely, I ordered a large half Mediterranean and half tandoori - however I also ordered chicken tikka and I knew something was not right when she went in the kitchen to check if they had it.
What I got was disgusting hard dry chicken that looked like it was reheated several times over! It was impossible to eat and I suspect was stored a long time after it was cooked

I would have returned it but was exhausted and in town for the night. It went in the bin

I want to ask the girl who served that chicken if she would have eaten that rubbish served to me?

Best pizza shop ever, you will never get better pizza anywhere you go (this review was when the Tootles owned the shop)

New update, new owners, awful pizza. We had pizza last night, the pizza was a medium Hawaiian chicken and a large plain cheese pizza. The Hawaiian pizza was dreadful, it was dry, too much onion, capsicum, the base was way too thin, the chicken was near non existent. I'm super saddened that the Tootles left and we don't have their delightful pizzas anymore. I honestly wished the new owners would have gotten better since they started but no sadly they haven't.

Awesome food and quality.would suggest to go and get delighted with food that is off the scale.

It looks disgusting, it taste disgusting and its just horrible in genEral. Pls dont eat this its really slimy in the middle and its raw, its burnt on the sides, one star for the chip’s tho.

Great pizza and extras. Crust exceptionally made and toppings not over cooked or too saucey.

This place made me feel sorry for Bordertown locals.how can a pizza be BURNT and slimy-raw/luke warm, all at the same time. And not just one, all of them! Would I go back? Never. Would I recomend? Heck no!

Stopped in Bordertown for a quick dinner on the way to Barrosa Valley. Pizza was fresh with a good amount of toppings, pizza base was cooked well and a good thickness. The Shop is right across from the park, prefect place to enjoy your pizza.
New owners have done an exceptional job

Ordered 2 XL pizzas and chips.
Told 30min wait.
Arrive 30mins later, waited, waited, waited, 1hr 45mins later they tell us they gave our pizzas away and they'll cook us new ones.
Finally get home, they've cooked 1 medium pizza and 1 large pizza and just put them in XL pizza boxes.
Will not be going back.

Was just passing through Bordertown on my way to Nuriootpa and found this little quaint takeaway shop. The pizza purchased from here was absolutely delicious and fantastic. It satiated my appetite. Service was excellent. Will go here again.

Great freshly made onion rings and fries. Little gem tucked down the side street. Worth a detour. Nice park opposite to enjoy your food if you want fresh air.

Really liked this place. The pizzas were amazing but like how you can order extras. Recommend people try the onion rings, they were to die for.
