Todai Sushi King / Minimono Noodle Bar reviews
55 Delicious food.
The wagyu with Ox Bone ramen has an incredible depth of flavour that makes it a stand out.
The first time we went they happily modified a meal for my partner even though they were convinced the flavours wouldn't meld.
The second time we went they had already expanded on the dish and made it even better.
Dinner was delicious. The staff were really hesitant but accommodating when I asked to change 2 separate menu items and merge them in to one, and it ended up freaking delicious! Partner really enjoyed his meal too.
Delicious tonkotsu pork ramen and broth friendly staff. The prawn toast was delicious and something I had never tried before. Gyoza were also delicious
Original ramen was a good level of salty and rich but the pork was bland and the $4 soft eggs were full boiled cold hard eggs.
Suddenly the ramen at this place changed.
The wagyu ramen with oxtail soup was flavourless and not very hot and the noodles were overcooked.
Have to say I have had better Ramen else where. Price is fair consider the location is in CBD. However food taste fairy average. Service is good and polite however.
OG Tonkotsu is to die for. I had it with the ramen set and im so full, like Christmas dinner full. This place is one of the best ramen places ive ever been to. The kaarage was juicy and the agedashi tofu just melts with flavour.
Ramen portion was huge. I order the spicy ramen, soup wasn’t that bad but meat kinda hard to bite. Price was kinda expensive too, not sure is that consider normal price in Aussie cuz I can enjoy better ramen at other places with the same price.
My go-to Japanese eatery. As a social recluse, I come in during non-peak hours after university to enjoy the delicious food and friendly staff. Delicious and large portions with very little waiting time. The Original & Spicy Cheese ramen are amazing, and every side dish is also delicious. They also allow takeaway containers for any leftover food you can't finish. Overall just an excellent experience every time.
The food had some really good elements but I'm not sure the fried chicken should have a powdery coating that makes you cough when you eat it
Love their speedy cook. Everything come out so quick. Nice place to have when you want a ramen and you are running out of time.
Changed the review from 5 to 2 stars, the quality declined, price went up, don't think we'll come back.
It tastes reasonably good, but it's fake good, not really an authentic Japanese place, too many chemicals in it, felt poisoned next day.
Cute restaurant but would not recommend for vegetarians. The vegetarian ramen is bland and flavourless with one mushy piece of tofu puff and an overwhelming serving of oversize mushrooms thrown in haphazardly (completely un-marinated & un-seasoned). The agedashi tofu is also bland and not traditionally flavoured. The umami egg was chalky and overcooked. Lovely ambiance though! Maybe the meat options are superior.
Highly recommend Minimono Noodle Bar, its a stand out for ramen once you have tried this hidden gem.
Today a lovely lady greeted us with a huge smile, service was good. Ordered the Tantanmen ramen it was so delicious and tasty. Spicy, fresh, flavoursome and very satisfied.
Value for money for a good ramen.
Tried out the Cheeseburger Japanese Curry. Weird combo but it was delicious. Keen to come back and try more
The chef here clearly can’t take criticism. I ordered some pork gyoza which are frozen and then cooked. No problems, I get it, but the top of my gyoza were raw and cool. I mentioned it to the waitress and she returned them to the kitchen. The chef then prepared some more by deep frying them until they turned into sad dry salty excuses for gyoza. I found this extremely insulting and will not return or recommend this establishment to anyone. Honestly, it’s just not worth the money, I can get more respectful service and better tasting ramen elsewhere.
I've never been to Japan but I'll bet this is the closest to an authentic Ramen you will get outside of that country. You pay a bit more but it's worthwhile. The mushroom Ramen is wonderful
Cheeseburger curry was ok but I don't think its was actually wagyu, portion was pretty small for what you pay, food came out fast, only thing was lacking was customer service, we didn't felt very welcome & kinda was awkward, I guess staff wasn't experienced enough, overall ok
What was previously a little sushi shop has been given a fresh look and new vibe, doing street noodles with a bit of flair- not your basic ramen, with the offerings ranging from humble mushroom, vegetable and various meats, all the way up to wagyu and lobster, and reasonably priced. Interesting additions to each noodle bowl, including seaweed, umami egg and other things, lift it above the basic. There are a range of sides we didn't investigate, but the noodles were all we desired. The drinks menu is not extensive though. We'd been going to eat somewhere else (sorry, other restaurant) and this new place stole our custom. A queue of would-be diners waiting for a table outside didn't hurt. We were not disappointed.
I had the lobster tail ramen, which is kinda good.
We also had corn ribs as a side.
Small on the serving for its price. Food came out fast. Overall a bit of an average experience.
