The Unley reviews
65Super Christmas Day lunch with the family, in a beautifully decorated room with a relaxed atmosphere. The festive food was plentiful and delicious. Special thanks to all staff but especially Carlien and Kari-Anne for their friendly and impecable service. The Unley comes highly recommended for Christmas Day.
Nice place and atmosphere. The staff was very nice and polite. Helped get the right drinks and also recommended good ones.
The finger foods were very nice, especially the fries.
We visited on a Sunday evening for a quick meal and drink.
It was around 6pm and fairly quiet.
Service was great and our meals were very good. Steaks, parmigiana, chicken, potatoes and brocolini. Beers were cold, wine although limited hit the spot.
Not fine dining but good 'pub grub'.
Comfort food.
We would visit again.
INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY BAR STAFF!
Thanks for letting us use your tv to watch channel 9!
Had a work function upstairs. Service ok. Food ok. The Haloumi Salad with herbed chicken was average, it was try and find the chicken between the over cooked Haloumi and the roasted pumpkin also had the skin still on Ordered 5 Seeds cider from tap, no ice in glass $18 for 2. Once we finished our food, the staff was in a rush to get us going. Overall just average.
Worst drive through bottle shop I have experienced. By the time the staff realised there were cars to serve, then served the 2 cars behind me I gave up and left. I went to the Cremorne and received 5 star service as usual. I will not ever use this hotel in the future.
This place is ok, it had massive potential but its just lacks something. No atmosphere. The upstairs section with balcony should be cool but there is just no vibe. Food was OK. Steak was cooked well but meat was tough and full of gristle. Beers expensive also.
Had a booking for about 17 people for a mates birthday! We all arrive and we’re told to get out and that there was no booking made! We were ignored and not served drinks either we had to stand there and almost beg to get a drink which finally came out 10 minutes later. Very rude worker. We’re standing at the bar waiting and she just says hi and walks off. We’re not there to say hi we’re there to order drinks.
Had the Japanese salad, it was light but yummy. Wouldn't get it again for dinner didn't fill me as much as I thought it would. Arinchini balls were delicious!
Very good pub food and cold beer. Friendly staff. Great place for a feed and to watch the footy.
Weird ordering your meal and paying for it via your phone. Meals nothing to write home about, Unley prices, very noisy, parking okay
The Unley is a reasonable place for lunch or dinner. Their food and drink is reasonably priced pub food. Nothing too special but a fine place for a drink and food with colleagues or mates.
The fish and chips is very good.
Lovely catch up with a mate on the rooftop. Food was delish, dessert very good, sticky date.
Would definitely recommend.
Zero atmosphere and pricey drinks. Do yourself a favour and go into town, same price but at least there's some atmosphere.
I had a decent schnitzel for lunch at the Unley Hotel. The chicken was nicely cooked, not lacking on the cheese, the chips were hot and it was a good portion size. Over all, a good meal for $25!
As soon as we walked in, the staff were so welcoming and friendly.
Good pub meals. Cocktails are yummy.
If you're looking for a nice easy place to eat and drink. The Unley is a good place to go.
We unpleasantly experienced racism at this pub. A male staff took plates and forks away when we were still eating. I had to get to the bar and get dinnerware again. It was my second visit but disappointing
Mediocre food, 34 dollars for the "rare" steak I ordered and came out looking the same as a friend's well done steak. 8 people eating in my group and no one had a good thing to say. Come in during happy hour and turn that $8.80 pint into just $8! What a bargain.
Had a horrible experience with the gaming room staff very inexperienced lack of bar and gaming knowledge won’t be returning
