The Somerset Hotel

Called in for tea the other night, it has been quite some time since we last visited (Years) and we were pleasantly surprised with the new layout. Food was great.

25th December - went for lunch, the service was great.had heaps to eat and was delicious. It's a definite to go there

The Somerset as it’s called more like the winterset the aircon was on full blast and I felt a bone chilling tingle on my plumbs but but a young bar tender soon fixed that by turning the heater on, I have to say the service really brought this place over the line thank you mister Liam for your outstanding performance

I had a vegan schnitty.it was acceptable. Probably should've gone the chicken schnitzel. You can't go wrong with a meat based schnitty. But awesome service and laid back atmosphere. Worth a look for sure

Can't complain about our food and service. It's been a couple months since our last visit. We were surprised about the large amount of people enjoying the space.
We planned to settle in and then the raffles started. Our food arrived and we were bombarded with the screech of ticket announcement one after another for 30 mins. It was still going when we left.

If there is any way possible to tone down the microphone or the person using it would be my suggestion. We would've stayed for a bigger session otherwise.

I use to go to the Somerset all the time pre covid, but things have changed, the meals are ordinary and no atmosphere

Food was good but the old duck waitress started reaching over us clearing our table while we were eating dinner.

Wow! The revamped Somerset Hotel is a stunning place to enjoy a meal or drinks with friends. The ambience is excellent, the food is outstanding and the service is wonderful! In fact it is so good that our dining group has gone there two Fridays in a row.

This superb Hotel took us by surprise. We weren't expecting search quality. The noise level is low which allows us to freely communicate with each other. Multiple TV screens allow patrons to watch a variety of sports and entertainment during their time there.

The quality of the food, right from the chips to the steaks, fish and chicken meals is outstanding. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great. Our group now intends to make this hotel our main dining focus during the rest of the year.

The hotel also has a range of food & drink specials during the week and also happy hours. Schnitzel night and pizza night offer great value. Currently this is the number one hotel that we have come across in all of our dining travels!

Went to the Somerset tonight with my wife and 2 kids. We both ordered the chicken schnitzel and the kids had their meal of chicken schnitzel with a glass of apple juice. The servings were generous and the meals were delicious. We found out that they crumb their own schnitzel. The staff here were so friendly and even took the time to talk to our kids. They even checked to ensure that we were happy with our meals. We couldn't fault anything. The meals were fantastic and the service was excellent. A special mention must go out to Michelle the head chef and to Gary who made us an outstanding dessert. He made us the biggest icecream sundae I have ever seen. This will definitely be our go to restaurant from now on. If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favour and go by and have a meal.

Had a beef schnitzel parmigiana, was dry and the topping was just canned tomato and bagged cheese. I won't go back

Staff were ulta friendly and efficient. Meal took ages but was delicious when it finally arrived, entree of garlic bread arrived at the same time as main courses. You don't compare to the Grand Hotel or the Albion Hotel in your area. The actual menu selection was very minimal compared to the hotels and restaurants I go to down in Port Adelaide, Semaphore, Largs Bay and North Haven. Not sure I'll return?

Enjoyed my birthday here @summerset hotel with my beautiful family. The food was delicious and nicely presented. Good customer service, so I'm coming back.

The food is good and the staff are good. Would have given 4 stars except for the selfish act of breaking off the car park to the shops, now I can't go to the shops when I'm leaving the pub anymore or vice versa. Not sure as to why they do selfish act like block off the rear exit of the car park but that's why it's got two stars and won't be dropping in for a drink on the way home from the shops anymore.

The meals have always been great but over the last few months the heavy mayonnaise type
dressing over the salad has been extremely heavy handed to the point of being inedible. A light vinaigrette would be so much better.

Manager, waitress so rude and unhelpful.
Food burnt, salad so salty and looked like something the cat threw up.
The worst experience and food I've ever encountered.

Went there for a birthday party. Good meals. Good service. The people who arranged the party said the hotel threw in a lot of extras they didn't expect. A good atmosphere- a good night out. Had Pepsi Max on tap (I prefer it to DietCoke or Coke No Sugar). Would go there again.

Great food and I really live this venue, especially now with the pandemic as it has outdoor seating which has great ventilation, heating snd these great booths. Management probably just need to answer emails and ensure patrons are checking in.

The food was cooked spot on & VERY GOOD service, hats off to the chef & the bar staff (girls) GOOD FRIENDLY SERVICE always with a smile!

WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD WAS DISCRIMINATED AGAINST AND REFUSED SERVICE AFTER I WAS ASKED BY "NOODLES' THE BAR MANAGER ASKED TO SEE MY EXEMPTION I TOLD HIM ITS ILLEGAL AND HE CANT ASK I WAS TOLD TO LEAVE
