Gorgeous shop in historic Hahndorf. The staff are friendly, very helpful and know their stuff. Bec, the owner, is a very talented artist, and very generous with her time and knowledge during the art classes.
Large range of materials. Lovely coffee shop attached. Best coffee I've had!
I'm taking some classes with Bec, and am delighted in how much I've learnt from her.

Some one mentioned this studio, to me some time ago but, I could not find it.

The perfect shop for good art supplies. I love their range of sketchbooks, graphite pencils, charcoal pencils, charcoal blocks, paints and colour pencils. Prices are awesome too and they will price match.

Gorgeous range of supplies from student quality to professional. They carry brands I've wanted to try for a long while but haven't seen in other stores. Really lovely, knowledgeable and helpful staff too. I've just moved to the hills after many years interstate and I feel I've hit the jackpot having such a lovely shop so nearby!

The team have always been friendly and helpful. I usually call for recommendations and they go out of their way to make sure I have the right stuff arrive on time.

Just received my first order. Arrived very quickly. Amazing variety of paint and technical advice on the website too. Best prices for Old Holland and Michael Harding oil paints.

This was the only place in Adelaide that had what I needed. Large selection, plenty of stock and the staff were really helpful.

Thank you. My art supplies were delivered quickly and efficiently. I got the tracking information straight away and I really enjoyed the free watercolour samples and on the online Etchr class that I got through my VIP loyalty membership. Very much appreciated!

Have been waiting a month for my order to arrive. I have made several attempts to make contact with someone to sort out a refund and no one ever answers the phone and rarely return emails. This experience has ensured that I won't shop here again

I was ecstatic when I received my beautiful silver black brushes. Postage was quick and inalso recieved some beautiful samples of paint and 2 types of watercolour paper. It felt very special and i felt that my custom was appreciated. I cant say enough about The Paintbox and will definately make them my number one choice for my future art supplies

Arrived just before 3pm on a Saturday hoping to purchase supplies. Browsing through the main room- a woman walks in, looks at us and walks out to I assume the back of the shop. I asked the barista if their shop was open and she informed her boss has walked out of the building and closed the shop- yet their sign "Coffee. Art supplies" sign still out and could still purchase coffee. Pretty disappointed that the "boss" didn't even acknowledge us as she walked past. Oh well my money will go elsewhere.

Great place to visit for all watercolour paint supplies the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and offer samples of new watercolour papers that come into try before buying and aqua board samples. Great range of pens, paints, brushes, notepads, papers, easels, charcoal, to bows, gel pens, empty watercolour pots, hard and soft paints, felts, classes, markers, rulers, erasers and a broad range of quality good for all artistic needs and many mediums to choose from. A great stop in shop for anyone passing through Harndorff anytime.

I am sad that I don't live close to this shop, it look amazing! My order arrived a lot faster than I expected. And even though one item was out of stock, Bec popped a substitute in my order and was happy to refund if I did not want this. Bec also sent me some paper samples to have a play with my new watercolours: D Awesome store with awesome customer service <3

Submitted an online order on the 2nd of March, and have heard anything since. No response to emails and the phone goes unanswered. I get they may have have to close up but the web shop is still open and taking money but there doesn’t seem to be anyone processing and mailing product’s.
