The Maid Hotel

This pub is a hidden gem, deserving a five-star rating. It boasts a cozy ambiance, an extensive drink selection, and outstanding food. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly, making every visit memorable. Live music nights add to the charm. The only minor flaw might be occasional busyness, but it's a must-visit for a fantastic night out.

My mother has some very specific intolerances, she ordered her food advising she only wanted specific elements as a result. The food came out with a bun and potato chips that she expressly advised she could not have when ordering.
The bar staff also apologised for sneezing, as he stated "Sorry, I'm really sick".

Great spacious outdoor area. Staff were great and very attentive. Food and drink menu was vast and reasonably priced.

I called the maid earlier in the night to ask when lockout was and they told me 3am. Then again called them about 15 minutes before arrival to ask them if that was still the case and how long the line was they told me 10-15 minutes for line up and no other information. When arriving within one minute I got told it was lock out (wasn’t even 12: 30 at this point). My friends and I had ubered from town hoping to get in and under the impression it would be ok as we had called to make sure it was the case, very disappointed. When I called to tell them about my situation the girl was very rude and hung up on me. I’ve worked in hospitality for many years including pubs, even if it is in high capacity doesn’t excuse you to mislead me to be able to come in then on top of that be extremely rude to me when I wanted to put in my feedback. I know they were under high demand tonight but doesn’t excuse them to mislead then be rude to their patrons. I didn’t expect them to let us in when comparing, I just wanted them to at least acknowledge my complaint for a later date so this wouldn’t happened again, yet was treated like complete garbage by the staff.

Absolute cheapskates!

Ordered a 7-drink round of G&Ts, which tasted like gin and waters. We complained, and after a bit of time where the bartender treated us like we were just trying to score free drinks, he finally agreed there was an issue with the gas (after he tried one of the drinks) and said he'd replace the drinks and bring them over to our table. He brings over 5 drinks only. We ask where the remaining 2 are, and he shouts out from the bar that we're not getting them because "2 of you boys finished your gins! " Firstly, it doesn't matter, if the drinks were finished if what was served up was a bad product. Secondly, the drinks weren't even finished! The bartender hurriedly collected all our half drunk glasses of gin and water, and we didn't say anything on the pretext we'd get replacements.

I was wearing a bum bag with just my sunglasses in it, offered to show them inside and they refused to even put it behind the bar so I had to leave it outside and it was stolen. The security very poor

Was with a social group, enjoyable atmosphere. Waitress Melati and kalsy were friendly, knowledgeable and provided good service.

I went there for my birthday lunch with my sister and her husband. I really enjoyed my schnitzel amiglass of Moscato.

Great place, good food quality and very friendly staff. I had a juicy steak which was really tender and delicious. It was served with hot fries. It's highly recommended.

Nice venue, friendly staff. An old building nicely renovated but the acoustics are shocking. Meals are nicely priced. Lots of parking. I do like the place and they have daily specials.:)

No one there, service was really slow, didnt get my beer and schnitzel deal? Definitely better pubs.

Happy regulars here, but this time it was a little disappointing when we provided feedback to the manager about the otherwise great burger, that arrived with COLD patties. After our meal was served no staff came anywhere near the dining room to “check” how our meals were. It wasn’t until cleanup that the polite submission was conveyed, but nary a hint of apology or concern.

Ordered a chicken burger, menu said nothing about cheese being on the burger and then when I received the burger it had cheese on it, I advised the waitress and she swiftly gave me new one.

First visit since renovation. Bright welcoming spaces with variety to suit many. Staff friendly and helpful. Food very good. We'll be back.

A great accessible venue with a beach theme outdoors and bars all over. The clientele is questionable, a very young and very messy crowd so if you’re after a classy night, maybe rethink this venue.

Refused to honour the Entertainment App despite there being no reason in the Terms and Conditions.

The serviettes are quite nice.
Had a recent experience that was 30 minutes ago. My other patrons were quite disappointed. I mean we were rather intoxicated but. I don't know. I don't feel I have a leg to stand on. Because. You know. I'm drunk

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the amenities. I know pubs are not the place for children but if you have a children's menu please ensure the high chairs are wiped over and not covered in dust and old food. Also the disabled/parent room door was extremely hard to open not to mention lock (I couldn't)! Perhaps a bin in there for used nappies would be appreciated as well.
