The Lunch Club reviews
11I tried the gluten free friand with a flat white coffee. Delicious cake - fresh & warm still. Coffee lovely & generous serving. A bustling coffee & lunch oasis away the busyness of Unley shopping centre. I loved it!
A mainstay of Unley Shopping Centre for many years, The Lunch Club has changed very little since it’s inception. Although this time when I went in, the ownership had changed, and the prices (which were already on the high side) seem to have increased. Nonetheless, the food was amazing as always, and it’s still my go to for a quick lunch whenever I’m in Unley.
Had a ham salad sandwich for lunch. Bread was so dry and the filling in the sandwich minimal and tasteless. Coffee was ok so I gave the lunch club one star. Two tasteless and dry sandwiches and two coffees, $30. Would have been happy to pay that if we had thought it was worth it.
Quite possibly the most meh but overpriced ham and cheese croissant I’ve ever had. I’ve paid more but rarely received less-slightly burnt, very average sized and one sad slice of ham does not a $9 item make. They weren’t busy either. Avoid.

Sadly, sadly miss Peter and his gorgeous wife. The staff walked around with smiling faces. Not so now! It appears they are being discouraged from doing so. My husband and I visited at least twice a week. Not anymore.
The food has dramatically changed for the worse, portions are much smaller but of course prices have sky rocketed. New owners, try Peter's lovely smile as he welcomed us. Pay attention to the sub standard food quality
Nice service from the men on the counter but the boss in the kitchen- disgraceful. I ordered lunch and waited for nearly 15 mins, as I had to get back to work, I politely asked how long they might be and she tore strips off her employee right in front of me. Then slammed my order down on the counter. I get back to my car and it is not even complete. I ordered salad and quiche and coffee. Paid $21 and did not get any salad. Disgusting service from a business owner. As I said, the guys in the counter were lovely but to you the so called boss - never ever again!
Lovely staff that really care about their customers, fast service and really great fresh tasting food.
A quiet oasis. Friendly staff. We only had a drink and a tart but it was calm, peaceful, well spaced out and clean. The staff were very friendly.
I paid $12 for a beef sandwich that was pretty bland. I expected that for $12 that I would get a little more than cheap sandwich bread with flavourless roast beef, cucumber and a smear of mustard. I should have looked around at other people's food before I stepped in. Walking out of the place, I noticed that everyone else's food was pretty average looking also.
Lack lustre disappointing service.not much of a selection. Owner walked around miserable and his attitude is very off putting.customer service was non existent. The whole place would be much happier if new owners took over. (previous owners were excellent and helpful, and back then was a happy atmosphere)
The breakfasts are tasty and varied. Never had a bad meal. The staff are very friendly, patient and helpful. A lovely start to the day.
