The Little Pub reviews
69Great bar, great staff, great prices. A good place to have a drink and catch up with mates, or see some of the locals if you're from outside of Adelaide
Not a flashy venue, but a good solid pub with good beer selection and room to meet up with friends. Handy location just off King William St close to a tram stop
A seedy den of a pub full, weird patrons young inexperienced staff and musty stuffy smell! Definitely a good place for covid no ventilation!
Great atmosphere and lovely customer service. Being from WA, I found it unusual that there were pokies machines in the pub. Drinks were priced well. Highly recommend if looking for a place to drink in Adelaide.
Very petty bouncer. Not interested in going to venues where you get bullied and harrassed, nice knowing ya x
Would give 0 stars if I could. John at the takeaway window was nothing but rude and seriously didn't deserve our money. Don't even know how this guy got hired with 0 communication skills. He rolled his eyes and got mad when we asked for literally anything. He called us 'difficult' when we asked for 2x 6 packs of beer. Such a rude guy and will never return
Big ups for the Canadian girl for always treating people nice.
Others are mostly rude (especially the blondie with bright red lipstick.
Good little pub! Was served by Shannon and Joe who were polite and friendly.
Pub was very clean as well thanks to Jim!
Not much effort put into decor. But I guess why would you bother with the hoards of drunks going through the place on a weekend trashing everything. One thing you can do is clean your mirror behind all the alcohol bottles. Would look alot nicer.
When I was near finishing my beer, I saw something you cannot believe that! There was a fly in my glass and when I show that to the bartender, she said ok, can you believe that? !? Disgusting bar and bartender, never come back there again. Zero start.
Unfriended staff rude and yell at you when you a just trying to let them know that you will do covid check you once you are done trying to make sure you can get your wallet back
The sticky carpet and disgusting smell is the least of this venue's problems. Staff are rude and more interested in socialising with their own friends than actually providing service. Very dodgy premises, did not feel safe at all, witnessed staff serving already intoxicated patrons and arguing with others. Stay Away!
Had a couple after a footy game.
Bar staff were friendly and professional, especially for the time, and even the security guard was friendly.
Imperial pints of Heineken for $8.50 was pretty good too.
I've been here just for a drink.
The guy who served me a glass of wine was so unprofessional, unfriendly and the wine was bad too.
I have never given less than 5 stars to any business now but I thing this particular pub deserves it. I have been treated with bad attitude many times and I am sure it is because i am a brown guy. Mostly, it has been the middle aged blodie who had ALWAYS treated me as a nothing-to-know and been very rude. And it is coming from someone who has been a chef for 8 years so, I know about hospitality industry and how a customer should be treated. But in MANY occasions this particular lady has always been very rude to me.
In busy Hindley Street, this pub is predictably a hive of activity at various times. I went a little after "peak" dinner time, closer to the 9pm meals deadline so it was rather quiet inside. The dining area is basic but retains much of the historic setting - as many Adelaide pubs do.i highly recommend
Just as it's name suggests, this is definitely a little pub. My visit was on a footy games night to meet up with others that were going to the match and it appears that pub is the pre game "go to" place for supporters going to the match. I was given directions to meet my group "out back" and i was surprised as to how packed it was in this area. Ordering a drink at the bar did not take long and the bar staff were extremely friendly. As i mentioned before this is a quaint pub full of old world charm. Will be going back on game days.
Had a security guard named ed who saw an old man grab my jacket and help me dress, he came up and said is that guy being at all creepy? To my reply of 'maybe it's just town' he said 'don't ever put up with that where ever you are it's unacceptable' giving this a great review for their care of women's safety which can be so rare in town, and cheap drinks too! Come here if you want to feel safe. Love your work guys ️
I always come to this place everytime I come to Adelaide. The prices of drinks are reasonable especially if you go there in a Sunday night where it's happy hour every hour. A chill joint overall.
An interesting mix here. They have great beer at fantastic prices. Unfortunately they also have pokies. I guess one pays for the other so can't really complain. The staff are cool and the beer is great.
