The Lighthouse Wharf Hotel reviews
67Had a party there for a 70th up in the function room. Great views of the Port River Lighthouse. The staff were friendly and the only thing I would have liked more food because it was so nice.
Comfortable and less brash acoustically than many places
Food is almost excellent (I'm rather choosy) but lacking in vegan options
Good spot to have a pub meal in Port Adelaide. Menu had all the pub staples, schnitzel etc. The food was standard pub flavour. The servings were good. The wine list had a couple of good brands. It was busy but we got a table straightaway. The staff were efficient but not overly friendly. The decor was neat.
Food that came was good but several orders did not arrive at all. Some drinks were ordered and paid for but they argued and did not provide paid for items. Other meals were ordered but the waitress messed up and did not add it to the order, they she argued and didn’t acknowledge her mistake. Very rude, very poor service.
Recyclable cutlery, very small serve not worth the price. All refreshments including wine beer or champagne served in plastic cups. Fish and chips served on a small paper plate with baking paper newspaper. Quirky but felt like I was at McDonald's or a children's birthday party.
Apparently, I was told that people can't be trusted any more with real cutlery and glassware. Not at this venue, anyway.
Fantastic food and good portions. Particularly recommend the balsamic beeteoot salad with salt and pepper squid added, the juicy burger, fish n chips and the nachos.
Didn't need to book a table on a Sunday but the place was pretty full at 12: 30 so quite lucky to get a table.
Our experience was great from the service to the food and drinks. We were looked after very well and I couldn't fault anything at all. I thoroughly enjoyed my barramundi salad. The skin was nice and crunchy. I asked for a mocktail and it was really nice. My friends schnitzel and gravy looked super delicious. Thanks again for accommodating us for a late dinner catch up. We really appreciated it. Will come again.
We were served very small servings on paper plates and paid top dollar. 4 small pieces of salt and pepper squid and 7 chips!
Not good enough, food was ordinary and our group of 11 will not return.
Great Saturday arvo the security guard was a hoot! Love lt! Entertainment good space, venue. A must visit if you are at the Port.
Very disappointed rang up and booked a outside table on a Monday for the following Sunday 28/08/22 rang again on the friday to confirm the booking no problem they said when we got there they gave us the table number we found it and there was a group of people already at the table starting to eat there meals they told me it had been reserved for us i cant understand how this happened as they have a please wait to be seated sign up and one of there staff was then taking orders for the meals
Been here a few times over the years. Great retro pub with beautiful outdoor area, excellent friendly service and good food
With a building full of public servants around the corner it's a licence to print money. Good beer range, decent specials and a nice ambience.
Genuinely fantastic place, very calming atmosphere great for a drink and a feed especially given how welcoming and fantastic the staff are! Highly recommend.
Discovered this pub today & fell in love with it!
The location is great, customer service great, food tastes yum & really good price!
And no, I didn't get free drinks to write this review (sadly)
Bit expensive and they don't do imperial pints but food was great and the staff are friendly.
Good service, great view, great wine/Beer.
Salt n pepper squid was great.
Pork Belly, Ceaser salad and Poutine was honestly terrible.
PM'd them via Facebook and no response.
You get what you pay for here, as in everything is a bit more expensive, but you can have a view over the water. So fair enough. Good selection of craft beers on tap and cans. Food is decent
Disappointing. Oysters Kilpatrick were made with BBQ sauce.why? ! Prawns required peeling and no finger bowl was provided. Main meals were brought out 10 minutes (if that) after entree was served. When the main meals were brought back out, the coleslaw was room temperature. The pork ribs were tender enough; however, the BBQ sauce was so sweet and thick I gave up trying to finish them. The price paid did not match the quality of the food served.
My Scallopini was delish.even though the veal was a bit tough.the flavour of the sauce was yummy. They stuffed up my daughter-in-law's lunch order.but were very apologetic and without any fuss cooked her another lunch.thanx guys.
Really friendly and fairly quick service. Food was very very good and will definitely return. BBQ ribs were amazing.
