The Kensington Hotel

We went for lunch & the food was ok - partners burger was overcooked (bordering on burnt). The waiting staff were run off their feet - I think they were short staffed for this time of the year.

Don't think we will return for a meal again.

Huge thanks to Tory and the team for our celebration dinner last weekend - we really enjoyed getting together in the private room at the Kensi Hotel and were beautifully looked after in every way. The food was delicious, the service was amazing and we are really grateful.

Service staff need to lift their game as they are obviously untrained. The waiter who served us was rather abrupt and discourteous. However the food more than compensated for the shortcomings of the dining room staff.

Great atmosphere night of Matilda's win against a France the whole busy restaurant into it watching on screens. Food great, service great, really a great evening. Steak pork chop tender & delicious, veg & salad excellent.

Had a chicken breast and the pork chop. Big serves!

Great wine list something for everyone and some that would be hard to find elsewhere.

Service was spot on, not just us, as the dining room filled up on a Tuesday night.

The Kensi is always a solid experience full of locals. The food is fair. The restaurant section on the northern side is welcoming.

Function for 36 people, great venue, high quality food and presentation, excellent service, very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Extensive Menu choices at reasonable prices. Staff attended to our group of 3 promptly. Food was of generous serving and tasty. I would have rated service higher if not for the surly young man who was serving Our bottle of champagne was plonked on our table. He should have poured to our glasses but just walked away. My friends were served by him on a recent visit there and his unsmiling manner was evident then. Someone needs to talk to him about friendly customer service.his approach was big negative for me.

Our family eat here for any reason, including the joy of Christmas. Last night The Kensi topped themselves again for our parent's 60th Wedding Anniversary. As always, the service was friendly, Holly, again, went above and beyond, and everyone couldn't say enough about the food. We had a nice quiet corner where everyone could hear each other. It really is our family's go to hotel.

Very impressed with our meals. Very fresh and great quantity for the price, the quality is definitely there and the staff were lovely. Happy to pay a little extra for a meal that is prepared with care and that delivers such great flavours. Will definitely be returning

Always magnificent. Cold beer and overwhelming great service and smiles from the bar people.
Chris and he staff are always friendly and the beer remains icy cold.

Very comfortable and pleasant surroundings. Love the booths. The food is great and service pleasant. Will be back soon. We love the atmosphere and that it is not too too noisy, especially, that's why we keep coming back.

Had a great lunch (6 of us) in the restaurant today. My Oven Baked Chicken Breast with salad of broccolini, potatoes, feta, rocket and so many more yummy ingredients was delicious as was everyone else's meals. Friendly and efficient staff. I don't normally do reviews but wanted to give a thumbs up to The Kensi for a great lunch and venue.

Attentive staff, a broad menu, excellently prepared and presented, along with a great winelist. We celebrated a friend's Seventieth Birthday and we were the last to leave the Dining Room. A great night was had by all - and hopefully the Birthday Boy enjoyed the evening - we certainly did!

Great service. Haloumi crisps nice but was looking for more in the kensi burger. Beef cheek still one of the nicest that I've had.

They gave me food poisoning from a vegetarian meal and after I contacted them to warn them about not getting others sick and potentially rectify what happened to me they ignored me.

Ideal setting for large birthday luncheon with ages from 4 - 84. All meals arrived hot and everyone happy with their choice. Friendly Service

While the Corner Bar might seem a bit noisy at times, the food is good and a great value for money. Great wine list and friendly service is a huge bonus. Kids friendly, too!

Decor is always nice and the serving staff obliging and friendly. The meal I had on this occasion was surprisingly good given that I mostly try to only eat salads when eating out. I think all of my party enjoyed what they'd ordered.
