The Hotel Flinders

Service was very good. Really friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. Oysters spot on. You have to try the squid snitnel. Never heard of it before and it was great. Eaten here 2 nights in a row. Will be back for a third. Thanks guys for your hospitality

Central location 3-5 minute walk 2 major supermarkets, bars, restaurants and tourist shopping.
Rooms are cheap and self contained with microwave, TV etc. While its an old pub which may account for the cheap accommodation I would call the rooms rustic and clean.
Service in the main bar area and restaurant is good, friendly and just what you would expect from a country pub.
Beer is competitively priced as are the pub meals which are good.
I have been staying at the Flinders when rooms are available for over 10 years now, every time a drive down from Darwin to the major capital cities.
This review is long overdue, as I am very supportive of the new owner and his level of hospitality.

Hired a DJ company that then fails to pay its contractors.but says its not there responsibility.happy to destroy the small supply company and blame ot o.somebody else

Very affordable, Rick is a great host and very friendly. Rooms a little dated but comfortable and clean. Food was good, tasty and great value, couldn't pass on a dozen oysters Kirlpatrick for $30.

My fridge in room had half a jar of spagetti sauce still in it food was terrble frozen vegies plates still out front of a room next day on a chair and laundry staff woke me at 8: 30 am

Gave us lovely, air-conditioned solace from a warm afternoon. Had a few West End Draughts (a couple more than intended) at a good price. Friendly service. Solid Aussie pub vibes.

Such a great pub! We had the pizza and it was the best in town. Wood fired and simple flavours.

Recommend by friends because of the Italian menu which sadly is no longer available. Oh well I’ll try the garlic prawns - wish I hadn’t, the cream sauce did not pass the sniff test. Mr C’s schnitzel was good however.

Stayed here two nights had a lasagna one night and pizza the next both were amazing. Prices for rooms was very reasonable and well placed in the center of town. Adam the owner of the place was awesome to deal with from start to finish would highly recommend the flinders hotel to anyone passing through.

Pet friendly, owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. Its not a fancy restaurant but an old time honest pub, loved it.

Great little pub. It was my old man's favourite spot, even had his own seat at the bar! Lots of friendly folk in there too.

I have got to say the Grub was absolutely fantastic, plentiful it was a struggle to polish off what was on my plate.

Top Notch Customer Service for my first visit. Let's just say first impressions are everything, and I definitely will come back for seconds.

It was alright. But more expensive than most for the same kind of food. I didn't think the chips were cooked properly and there was no seasoning at all. The schnitzel was nice and the topping tasty but overall, didn't think it was super worth it

Post covid just getting back on their feet. Go in n give them a go. The food was good porterhouse melt in your mouth plenty of chips small salad but good

We were lucky to get a room and parking on a busy, stormy winter school holiday night without booking ahead, and got a lovely, huge corner room with balcony access and heater. Small shower room very basic and veranda in disrepair but room charming, clean and comfortable nonetheless. Good pub meals if you don't want to go out, and a short walk to mall, waterfront, restaurants and cafe's if you do. We'll stay there again gladly if we pass through again

Staff were very unaccommodating when I asked to swap bacon for a poached egg and also charged me extra. The food took 30 minutes to arrive and was cold when it did. My friend waited 40minutes for a chicken wrap and found a hair in it.

Upon arrival at the hotel Flinders we were put into a room with no working heater, a night of -3 degrees Celsius certainly was not one of the high points of our week long stay. I did report it straight away however I was told there was nothing they could do until the next day. The next morning I went back to the reception and reported that despite the heater running all night long it still failed to get hot and somebody went out to the room to have a look. To their credit they did move us to another room but sleeping on the bed in this new room was like sleeping on a stack of bricks. The food at the restaurant gave both me and my wife food poisoning. I'm giving two stars only because the staff were very friendly but the hotel was utterly appalling which why we checked out on day 4.

Well the place has a character meaning accomodation barely meets standards of decency.not recommended.however staff makes up for the accomodation.wonderful people.kind and full of additional information.pizza deserves five stars and overall we enjoyed staying overnight.
