The Grind @ Hendon reviews
9 Ordered two relatively expensive (rare) coffees I'm familiar with - one of them was clearly over roasted (there was no option for me to select the roast level on the website). When I brought this up with the owner over email, he took offence - seems to have taken my feedback as a personal insult and replied very rudely. Unfortunately cannot recommend.
Update 22/02/23: I feel compelled to amend this after reading through the owner's response. Even the owner's website state they started in 2005, so why claim you operate since 1965? I do not have expertise in coffee roasting or the technical know-how that you certainly seem to have - but I surely know when my coffee is over-roasted. The owner also claims that I was offered to discuss this over the phone - what's the point of that when you have already shouted at me calling names? Even in your reply you call me a "keyboard warrior" and a "fool" - whereas I have remained professional throughout all our exchanges thus far. I paid real money for your coffee - so I have the right to express my disappointment and take my business elsewhere. I would have not left public this review had you replied (and disagreed) with my feedback in a professional way - I don't have a problem with that, but you decided to be nasty.
PS: The other coffee (Jamaican Blue Mountain) was perfect - it is exactly as I expected. I've tasted Kona coffee many times from different vendors, I still maintain that it was either over-roasted or you mixed up my order and sent me a different product.
Apologies if my feedback was too harsh and/or hurt your feelings - had you stated this professionally on your first email response, this would've ended much more positively.
The Peru Femenino from The Grind wholesaler is the best coffee bean for me and my office! I’m not sure how you do it but it delivers the same great coffee taste day in day out, month after month! Thanks again!
Came in on the 16th of April 2022 at 12: 30pm, best customer service I’ve had in a decade very commendable. Customer for life thanks guys.
Very good and large variety of products. Freshly roasted. Have not had a bad batch.
Friendly and helpful staff
Good prices.

Prior to my visit to this establishment, it’s safe to say that I knew four fifths of five eighths about coffee generally. Came away very satisfied with the service I received, the beans that were recommended and the cappuccino offered whilst I was there! Magic place!
Great coffee, friendly service, ALWAYS. Love it. All the best for Xmas but I'm gunna run short of beans! When do you open again?
What a surprise! Turned in at the sign for fresh coffee beans and entered a truly friendly and interesting coffee shop. Well done Louise & Silvio.
Great coffee, plenty of beans to choose from. Service was excellent had a short Black with the owner.
FINALLY A PLACE TO ENJOY AND APPRECIATE FINE COFFEE FROM HERE AND AROUND THE WORLD. IT'S A CREDIT TO LOUISE AND SILVIO FOR THEIR YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN CREATING SUCH GREAT BLENDS.
DO YOUR SELF A FAVOUR AND TRY THE COFFEE YOUR SELF AND LEARN ABOUT THE ART OF A GREAT COFFEE.
WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK.
