Wouldn’t recommend, service was terrible. Food wasn’t great. And came across a rude and disrespectful waitress Jordain. Turned a lovely afternoon in a terrible day.

Had a shocking experience here. The waitress service was shocking, rude and useless to be honest. Paid 50$ for a coke and parma which is outrageous especially when you have to walk over and get you own cutlery. Wont be returning

This place isn't what it used to be! Service was slow and the staff were like zombies. Food wasnt good value and 2 meals came out wrong. Toilets were disgusting.
The only good thing was the tables were cleared quickly.

Cashless, care-less and clueless. I felt like I was at a supermarket self-checkout waiting patiently for the attendant to assist with an error code on the self-checkout machine. Meanwhile the 'who appeared to be' bar manager goes full Karen with some customers about something in front of us, who were waiting to be served and then we were told to go to a different bar down stairs because they have more staff down there. I get it, you are saving money by going cashless and saving money by having bare minimum staff to service customers. But, no need to go full Karen in front of everyone, it is a very bad look and quite embarassing to say the least.

Great location and view of the water. The tradie burger was cold and had no BBQ sauce. All that was offered was little squeeze tomato sauce.

I never leave bad reviews but this place was a horrendous end to our first trip to Adelaide.
Firstly I asked if the Nasi Goreng had prawns as I have a shellfish allergy to which I got "I don't think so" from the girl behind the counter.
It came out with numerous prawns so I went to return it and was asked if I had mentioned this on ordering. We did a swap of meals whilst my partner was at the bar ordering drinks. His Tanqueray Gin & Juice was just an orange juice. The steak sandwich he received was something my 3yo autistic child could have made better with a bit of cheese and non rubbery steak. Do not come here unless it's purely for the view!

I ordered an Asahi pint off the tap. A single sip told me this was not Asahi, not even lager. When I said so to the server I was met with aggression like I didn't know what Asahi was. They were selling some poor quality beer as premium beer and got caught out. A mistake is ok but deception is not.

Whilst in Adelaide for a few hours we made the unfortunate decision to come here. The food was a disgrace. A $32 steak sandwich was just an overcooked piece of rubbery steak with some onion jam and lettuce. No effort to make it tasty but just to make it cheap. My friend had a schnitzel which was overcooked as well. She ordered pepper sauce and her word to describe it was "disgusting".
The pink haired waitress behind the bar had an attitude problem and couldn't muster a smile for either of us. We were made to feel we were interrupting her when we tried to order. The menus were dirty and torn and the place itself felt dingy and run down
Air con would also have been nice on a hot day.
I am not one to usually leave a bad review but I walked out of here feeling like I had overpaid my money to eat terrible food and be treated badly by the staff. Avoid this place if you are travelling to Adelaide.

Arrived to doors at 8.26pm with the assumption we would be able to get a drink as it says open till 10pm. Only to be told they are closing.

My partner and I went in for lunch on the 20th of Feb.we are from Melbourne so it’s our first time in Adelaide. The worst experience from this bar. First of all. The girl with pink hair ignored us when we walked in. They were very quiet, not many people in the vanity at all. We waited to be seated for about 5 mins and another costumer walked infront of us and only then did she pay attention and brushed us off like we weren’t there. A while later we were having our meal when that same employee started swearing and carrying on. The whole restaurant could hear her. What I assume is the manager then began speaking really loudly to the other employee about the pink haired girl letting the whole world know about there problems. Very unprofessional. No one needs to know what goes on behind closed doors.

A few weeks ago my family and I went to see Troy Harrison play at the Grand Bar. Troy was excellent as ever, but the real standout was the bar manager. I think his name was Arpid? Very cool muphucca - urbane, sophisicated, well mannered and caring. He was without a doubt the most customer service oriented, kindly and helpful character it has been my good fortune to meet. I won't go into details but during the evening I needed some assistance (no - I wasn't plastered, it was an issue with one of my kids) and he could not have been more patient, generous with his time and helpful. That true gentleman IS the Grand Hotel. We'll be back just to say hi and enjoy his old world charm. All the staff, under his leadership I do not doubt - were wonderful. Can't recommend the Grand Bar highly enough.

Beautiful location but the bar definitely needs a reno. Food very average. Toilets a disgrace - messy and stunk of urine.

Great spot to sit to have a drink & watch the sunset whilst also observing what’s going on around the place - with a live band playing. I wouldn’t recommend the espresso martini on tap, was terrible & my husband was served a bourbon & coke in a latte glass - not sure what happened there? !? I gave 3 stars for the view & entertainment.

The only thing that is pleasant about the Grand Bar Standford is the view. That's where it stops. Service poor. Over priced for the quantity of food. Never order the cheesy garlic bread for two, because you will be so disappointed. Enough for one. The toilets are dirty and disgusting, the only one that was clean, could not lock. The staff looked like they didn't want to work and unexperienced. Management needs to be looked at, because with a good management and well trained staff this could be a gem. We travel all over Australia and was very disappointed.

Bar service was extremely slow. The place was not anywhere near busy, but you had to que for 10 minutes before being served.
For food, we all ordered burgers with chips, the chips were overcooked, and the oil was overdue a change. I had the shark burger with coleslaw and jalapeno Mayo. It was disappointing to discover it was not shark and there were no jalapenos in sight. Instead, it was loaded with mustard dressing.
The other burgers had the same dressing.
The toilets were disgusting with urine all over the floor at five o'clock in the afternoon.
Overall, it was very disappointing given its prime location.

Perfect location in Glenelg but that's where it stops. Plastic cups. Terrible wine list. Just not up to what it should be given its prime spot.

Terrible service, awful food. Waited over an hour for lunch and the place was practically empty. Cannot recommend the place at all.

Horrible chicken schnitzel. The mushroom sauce was disgusting, it was basically water with oil on top… soggy coleslaw, seemed very old as well.it’s a shame since the location is great.
