The Golden Roast Adelaide

If you want to serve your guests raw chicken, hire these guys! Antipasto table? Beautiful. But left uncovered, and covered in flies. No plates, but you can eat off napkins and we won’t provide bins or someone to collect the napkins. Oh and the hot food? NOT HOT. Main meal, served buffet style… salads were no more than pasta salad or seafood extender salad from Coles/Woolies (no shade, I bloody love these salads but not for a $100/head wedding!). But look at the chicken! ITS RAW. Veggies? Just boiled, yet somehow the pumpkin was underdone. And cold. The caterers didn’t collect the plates as pre-arranged and tables were left looking messy and yuck. The caterers absolutely cracked it when confronted about the raw chicken, then proceeded to leave the event early, prior to serving deserts and left the wedding with no serving ware to DIY or cutlery to eat. Phenomenally unprofessional. Poor quality food. Terrible service. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you want to get salmonella.

Will say, the dinner rolls and tiny spuds were the highlight of my meal.

Golden Roast did a great job at catering for our wedding, and all was communicated well in the lead up. Highly recommend.

If you want a caterer that runs out of meat & salads, plates and forks and serves it all cold then look no further. Coast to coast can provide this for you. Their excuse was they catered for the number requested. Have used 2 different caterers for 2 weddings (one was a spit roast caterer) who catered for the requested number of guests. Both of them NEVER ran out of food or served up cold food that should have been hot.

My husband and I attended a function catered by Coast to Coast Golden Roast. Phil has just taken over the Adelaide franchise and cooked the meat to perfection. The whole experience was amazing and we highly recommend them to anyone looking to cater for a large (or small) gathering.

Have both held and attended several functions catered by the new Adelaide Golden Roast Management (from 40 to 500 guests) - I have no hesitation in recommending them as a highly proficient team that will deliver a professional, quality catering outcome to any event you may consider them for.

I attended a function during the week hosted and catered by Coast to Coast Golden Roast. The food was absolutely devine, cooked perfectly and Phil, the new owner could not do enough to ensure everything went smoothly. Will not hesitate to get these guys again.

My wedding is 4 weeks away and I have sent 3 emails, tried calling, leaving voicemails etc and they haven’t contacted me back. My mum pretended to ve a ‘new customer’ and they advised they’re shut for buisness and are NOT notifying any current bookings they had! Absolutely awful, especially for anyone who paid a deposit.

My wedding is 5 weeks away and I just found out they have closed down! No phone call what so ever. I've been calling and calling and goes straight to voicemail. Been trying to get my deposit back as well.

We were really looking forward to having your company in Adelaide for our wedding in 4 weeks time, when I had to go on a goose chase to find out that Adelaide’s chain has gone under and we have lost all our money and won’t see it returned, no notice and leaving us dry four weeks out, having to organise and re-fund a new catering company. Disappointed is an understatement.

They catered for my 70th birthday party at my house last Saturday. Staff was wonderful food yummy. It was enjoyed by all. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you.

We used these guy's for my Mum & Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary. Was happy with the food & correspondence with Karl over the phone. We didn't get much leftovers but everyone was full & satisfied. Except the vegetarians as there dinner was forgotten on the day.however I was refunded the money after the fact, but disappointed on the day especially when our guests offered to bring food 4 themselves & I reassured them that we had it catered for? None the less the food we did get was spot on & Pauline even came around to collect the dishes. I would recommend these guy's for your event. THANKS GOLDEN ROAST

Happy with the response of service before and on the day of my wedding. However I have received no response from my emails of my concerns after. There was not enough food served on the day and I paid extra for crackling and only half my guests received some.

My wife and I recently used Golden Roast to cater our wedding which was a small event with only 30 people. We had eaten at an event that had used them before and were impressed so decided to use them for our own event.
The food was excellent and plentiful with an ample amount available for guests to go back for seconds and thirds of both the mains and dessert. I heard nothing but praise for how good it was.
I did not speak much with Mary, our cook for the night, but my In-Laws were extremely impressed with how friendly and helpful she was, and even brought her out to get a round of applause for the effort she put in.
I would definitely use Golden Roast again and recommend them to anyone else.

Most of the food was good, but some of the meat was very dry.more communication before the event would have been good to avoid the problems we had 1hr before i was to be married.most of the crew very very nice except the main lady who was not helpful at all and made small problems larger than they had to be.i would use again but not for a wedding.

The caterer was the most friendly, helpful and professional person.
Food was prepared to perfection and on time, every one of our 60 plus guests all commented on how well the food was presented and the taste was absolutely awesome.
No fear of anyone going hungry as there was plenty to go around, even for those like me who had seconds.
I would highly recommend the Golden Roast crew to anyone. I found them easy to talk to, and all the questions answered.
The part I did like was you got to talk to a person not a machine.
Love your work and will certainly use The Golden Roast next time
