8Go most days, dogs love it, but would be better if gates were put on, as Dogs can get out and cars coming could cause accident.
The Glebe has recently been revamped and updated.
The reopening was reported like this
"On Friday 10 March 2023, invited guests and the community enjoyed a sausage sizzle prepared by the Blakiston Rotary Club while Mayor David Leach officially opened the Glebe, including the recent improvements. "
Big park for walking dogs and an enclosed area for a children's playground. Hopefully they put in more play equipment as it looks quite bare at the moment. I found better parking down Fulford Terrace off the main road. There is a public toilet and a lake. It would be nice to have more trees as there is plenty of space.
A dog park with a fenced off playground in the middle, a historic school and shaded path at a corner.
It just needs some trees for shade along the paths within the park.
Once they install the off the leash fencing so that dogs are controlled properly then it will be a 5 star dog park.
Council are doing a fabulous job upgrading the park, gates have bèen installed for safety of dogs and children and the walkway around the entire border is just the perfect exercise for the whole family including our dog. With natural landscaping and pond we can already see native birds which we didn't see before. We are looking forward to the future upgrades of BBQ areas and more.
Touted as a dog park but it's just an open space without secured fencing and very busy road bordering it, quite dissapointed!
Lovely open park for a walk with your hound. Rug up on windy days as the area is quiet open with few trees to break the strong winds that blow through ️
