The Franklin Boutique Hotel reviews
60Had an excellent Christmas function over here. The place was very busy, but the staff were very attentive.
I love this bar, their beer range is huge and it is mainly craft beers. So if love your craft beers then this is the bar you should go to. I also recommend you get their food as well. I love their gourmet hot dogs, the onion rings are super amazing and crispy, and their chips are so good. Their pub food is by far one of the best I have come across and goes well with their beer range. Highly recommend this bar if you are out for few drinks in Adelaide.
Ordered 2 children's meals to take away. Supposed to be chicken schnitzel, chips & salad. When we were given the meals, there was no salad. When I asked about that, I was told the salad isn't included as most children don't eat it. I replied that it should be removed from the menu. I don't think I should pay for something that is advertised, when I don't get it. Department of Trading would think that way too!
Stopped by for some Christmas drinks with my workmates and to exchange gifts. We were in the charming beer garden. Food and drinks were great and the service was excellent. Great range of beers and SA Wines too.
6 stars for accomodation. Pub looked good too. Upmarket and boutique. Blown away very reasonable price. Friendly staff. Rooms were amazing, clean and well made. Seriously impressed. Good job guys! Will be back
Camera grande, stile moderno e artistico. Bagno immenso. Persone cordiali e accoglienti, nel pub dell'hotel si mangia e si beve benissimo.
Great atmosphere; just done up enough to be classy and with attentive staff - perfect for a Friday knock-off drink!
Great venue, atmosphere, food & drink. Food is delicious and timely. Best mushroom sauce I’ve had in a while.
Took a way while to come out the food.
Steak that I order was medium and was more likely welldone
Fish and chips always good choice.
Hot dog.don't try
Love the atmosphere here
What a great / stunning Boutique style hotel in a really nice & quiet area of Adelaide CBD!
We had such a great experience staying here and glad we made the choice to book here. As a family of three the Boutique Hotel sits above the Franklin pub and it was just perfect for what we were looking for.
Unique and well appointed rooms which were also very generous on size. Easy access to the Hotel either when the pub is closed or open along with a huge upper level terrace which allows you to have food and drinks delivered by the excellent staff upstairs and simply watch the world go by.
Downstairs - The staff were terrific for our entire stay. Very attentive, easy going, always happy to help and just have a really great attitude and as they are your first impressions when arriving, it makes for a really great stay and overall experience:).
Whilst the Hotel doesn't cater for breakfast there are two great places literally around the corner or further down Franklin Street that would cater and allow you to kick-start the day.
Overall, a terrific stay and would highly recommend!
Stopped in for a meal before Her Majesty's Theatre. Very friendly and efficient service, couldn't do enough. We both selected the daily special of chargrilled swordfish, lovely mix of flavours, I had to help my wife finish her plateful. Nice quiet, small dining room in contrast to the noisy bar which didn't upset our ambience.
Great service, fantastic atmosphere. Relaxing lunch with family, great place to catch up and chill. The food is delicious and the beverages just top things off. Thanks again.
Had a fantastic one night stay in the rooms above the pub. They exceeded my expectations in every way. The design in the room was fun and fresh. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I booked at 3am the morning before I wanted to check in (very last minute trip planning) and they were still happy to put a priority turnover on my room so I was able to check in early as per my booking request. I dropped my bags off early and returned when I got the call that my room was ready only to find that they gave me a free room upgrade just because they had one available! They’d also already taken my bags up for me. Free snacks and mini bar drinks, wifi and lovely evo products in the bathroom. I felt very well taken care of.
The only problem I had was with the water temperature in the shower, it fluctuated wildly and was difficult to control. I wouldn’t hold this against them though because I didn’t actually make a complaint and I have complete faith that if I had, they would have either tried to fix it or given me some complimentary something to make up for it. Truly I had a wonderful experience here.
I didn’t spend much time at the pub but I did notice they had a hand pump ale, so had to treat myself to a glass which was such a treat!
I will definitely stay here whenever I need a fun spot in the city and I strongly suggest you do the same.
I've always been a little ambivalent when it comes to hotdogs but let me assure you; you will never find a better one. I had the original which was superb. My friends had the jalapeno and they loved it. And the icing on the cake? The service was outstanding. What brilliant staff.
Acoustics 2 stars.
This isa nice enough place, but some arse was playing prerecorded music so it was difficult to talk. I left early because it was unbearable. To be fair, if we had sat outside we would have been better off but that wasn't my decision.
I did eat the big hot-dog thingy, which was ok
Great food, very clean, friendly staff. Lots of variety of different beers. Massive sized meals. The Tokyo cocktail is amazing.
Great beers, excellent service and a lively atmosphere. Oh and if you have them, the hotdogs are pretty damn good too.
Nice pub and great environment, ideal for an after work beer or meal.
With a choice of open area or indoors you won't miss the great vibes of this place.
Dog friendly beer garden, friendly and plenty of staff and fulsome menu, what more do you want? !
Bar staff are really friendly and make you feel so welcome. My husband was so happy they had west end draft in cans (yes I married a bogan don’t judge me) wines weee lovely. We ordered a steak sandwich, onion rings and buffalo chicken bits to share thinking entree serves would be small we were sooooo wrong way too much food for two but the food was delicious thanks for a lovely night
