The Flour Store reviews
37Delicious brekkie options with a good range of kids choices. I had the spicy beans and my daughter had pancakes and my mum had the Veggie stack and they were all lovely. Service was relatively quick and friendly.
The food was good but the chairs are so uncomfortable. You can take shabby chic only so far! Old chairs with broken springs don't rate in my book!
The owner and staff here are completely lively and welcoming. Food is fresh and delicious. Tea in proper tea cups is a delightful touch.
You have heard of cloud 9. This is what cloud 10 would be.
I found this slice of heaven as Covid made its debut, and that perfect latte with the perfect coffee rich froth makes my soul live in cloud 10 as soon as my lips touch, so much that the world goes silent. Before and after that cup of solitude, the staff are the family you never knew you had while feeling like your family you already love the most. The food is perfectly matched to the coastal village and is as delicious as your fondest home cooked feast with family. The atmosphere is home away from home, only at another level. To say it normal, food is great, coffee is thee best, staff are great, and the atmosphere is perfect, but this is not your normal Cafe and when when groceries were scarce during coved, this cafe doubled as a general store to support the community. Awesomeness!
Had breakfast yesterday morning. Seemed to take forever to get it, when it came tasted amazing but was cold. We both had different meals and both were cold. Disappointing, not sure if cooked and waiting for service to bring out, not sure. But would have been really happy just to have a hot breakfast. Will be back but hopefully will be hot next time.
Quirky, great coffee and the almond croissant was one of the better ones I have eaten in aussie.
Lovely coffee, people and setting. I ordered a steak sandwich - food was fresh and delicious.
Always a fantastic experience. Coffees are amazing, and the Eggs Benny is literally my favourite way to start a weekend!
Partner and I came in for takeaway coffees on Monday.
Both of us have worked many years in hospitality.
Hands down worst coffees ever, took one sip and both were put in the bins next to the cafe front.
Tried messaging on FB but got an automatic response only,
Coffee tasted dirty and metallic.
Really disappointing as my partner had previously visited and had a positive experience.
Awesome steak sandwiches and the Halloumi burger was fantastic, so much Halloumi! Milkshakes were great and even had vegan options which were great as someone sensitive to lactose! Reasonably priced under $30pp (cheaper I'm sure if you're not all drinking milkshakes!)
Highly recommend if you're in the area.
Service was great, staff were very friendly. The gnocchi was so good and a really generous serving!
Beautiful Cafe for breakfast or Brunch! Very nice service! I wanted to have some cinnamon on my coffee and the manager came to ask me which type of cinnamon I wanted. It was really warm and kind for him to do this. Many Cafe either didn't have cinnamon or just did it without any interaction with me. The Flour Store is different! It truely cares for every customer ️
We walked past this lovely cafe when we had to get something quick before rushing to a bike tour. We explained to the friendly staff about our situation and they went out of the way to make sure we got served ASAP. We ordered a gnocchi and a veggie stack and they were just delicious. The chai tea was great too! We loved this place. Despite not being able to take our time and enjoy our food, it was a fabulous experience! Thank you, lovely staff at the Flour Shop!
Food and coffee here are always fantastic. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. There’s always small things to buy and take home, from drinks to local produce. Highly recommend this place if visiting in Pt Noarlunga
The staff, management, owner and other guests here are top notch! Great food, coffee, wine and service!
7/5 would recommend!
Whoever invented the donut breakfast burger is a genius according to my husband. I had the nicest Eggs Benedict that I've had in a long time. I should have taken pictures, it looked pretty too! Great coffee as well.
The loveliest man at this cafe on Sunday 12 June 2022 hurried to open the door for me (on a knee scooter post surgery) and helped me and family members to a convenient table. He was so sweet, friendly and attentive wishing us as "friends" a lovely day. The woman working was also polite when delivering coffee, they heated our desserts from the fridge to make them nicer on a cold day. Just the best experience! Will be returning for sure!
My first visit to the Flour Store was breakfast yesterday, Sunday, with family members.
It is not possible to actually reserve a table, resulting in one of our group needing to arrive much earlier and secure a table to facilitate our breakfast plans! Slightly inconvenient!
The menu was good and a request to build a breakfast, using ingredients from several different dishes on the menu was accepted with pleasure. The staff were attentive and polite and our dishes arrived in a timely fashion. We each had something different, adding or subtracting items from the advertised combinations. The food, coffee and presentation were a above average and although the venue was busy/noisy we enjoyed the experience!
I have been going here for years, the GP’s are lovely and the ladies behind the counter are lovely my kids have anxiety and they all very welcoming
I love the atmosphere of this place, a couple of nice meals, friendly staff, fireplace in winter, fast coffees nicer cost per serving size for cakes and sugarless treats and the best part is an owner that is quite witty and humorous, I love the way he operates, I've heard a bag of rubbish collected for a coffee or something like that, and during the COVID-19 frustrations that him and restaurant next door take turns to open up so the can both stay in business, how they support local businesses with buying their products to use in store, I love this guy's thinking and heart, this place feels like home to me, I've had the eggs Benedict, spicy bean bowl, carrot cake, blueberry and lemon sugarless cake and have loved them all, looking forward to my next visit ️
