An excellent Melbourne Cup group lunch experience!

The Crown offered an impressive a la carte menu, which made selection challenging, being spoilt for choice! Despite the variety of dishes to be served, staff went to great pains to ensure that service to everyone in our group - which was spread over several tables - occurred near-simultaneously. Without exception, every one of those plates was prepared and presented to perfection.

Highly recommended!

Steak was cooked to perfection and the lamb shanks were a big serving and very well cooked. The prices of the meals were very reasonable and represented very good value for money. We noticed that the Faulty Towers function was very well patronised which was very encouraging to see. Victor Harbor needs more events like this. Well done Crown Hotel.

We had a lovely meal for lunch here. Great choices on the menu and on the blackboard specials. I had the seafood duo, grilled fish and salt and pepper squid. Fish was tasty and fresh. Hubby had the snitty, which he said was good. The other pub was noisy and lacked atmosphere. I'm glad we came here.

Attended lunch on a cold wet windy day but warm inside with a good crowd.

Mixture of meals incl specials & seniors. Staff were friendly & competent & meals served quickly.

Very good prices, ordered the cheeseburger for my son & curry of the day for myself. The Tandoori Chicken was exceptional, very tasty & a great sized portion

Meals were very bland. Their idea of service is take the order, take the money, drop the food on the table, then forget you.

Went to check out the venue we had our Wedding reception at in 2016. Looks like it's had some work done ️

Wife asked if the chicken schnitzel was tender. Staff said yes. But oh no. It turned out to be hard and over cooked. To make it worse, the chicken was cooked in dirty oil. Was inedible. My T-bone had lots of gristle and left me wondering where the meat was. Won't be going back there.

Dont like sharing my food with flys ten around us ask for them to do something about them. All we got was cant do anything wont be back until they do.food my pork was dry mums fish over cook staft good

Walked in to the back dining area to be greeted by the smell of the trough slabs you get in urinals, even though we weren’t close to a toilet. Although the line to order was fast, the food took over 40 mins to arrive. One dish arrived early and even tough it was a pasta dish was stone cold and missing integral parts of what was advertised. Staff were food and the issue was rectified with it being reheated and some brocilinini being thrown on top. Remaining dishes were dishes out with 10 mins gaps between lots, with cold chips all around.
Overall not the best.

Probably the worst pub food I have had for a long time. Sadly. Had oysters to start. Very small and not good at all. Beef Schnity awful. Never again!

Had great fish and chips and friendly service, realistic prices for the location. A great tourist area.:)

Terrible food. The butchers cut steak of the week was chewy low quality meat. That and the second meal chicken parmy were both cold and came out 15min apart! Was expecting the steak to be hot after the wait but was very cold so my meal was cold from sitting in the kitchen waiting

I was extremely impressed with all aspects of Hotel Crown, the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and after you've had your meal and a drink or two the gaming room has a good selection of pokies if you choose to play for a while

Order the rump steak was very tough could not eat it told them to tell the chef and says no worries I will. No one came back to apologise absolutely terrible quality of food and service

Highlights: Great place to have a quality meal with your family. The food was well-made and arrived on time. Reasonably priced and compared to some other restaurants, slightly cheaper.

Lowlights: There was only person at the counter taking orders resulting in long queue!

Great service, excellent food. Friendly staff and plenty of variety. Will definitely be back soon.

Definitely one of the best pub's in Victor harbour.
Best tasting Food. Excellent Customer service.the chef presents his food with love and well presented.

Definitely No: 1 Stop for lunch or dinner.
Will definitely return again.

Just terrible, really poor service, phone rung out 6 times as we tried to book a table, waited 10 mins in line to order, before being told to order food at next bar.
My wife went off to get a drink, lined up and was told to go to the front bar as it would be quicker
