The Commercial Hotel Motel reviews
39 Excellent service, friendly staff.
Brilliant lunch specials, we enjoyed Lasagne and Salt and Pepper Squid and two cold Great Northern beers.
The decor is fascinating
Don't drive past!
We have travelled from nsw to perth and we find ourselves at the commercial hotel in Jamestown south oz.and have done about 7000klms on a motorbike and in 15 days have stayed every night in. Motel from the worst to the best and even stayed at the Hilton in Albany and this hotel is truely unbelievable it is by far the very very best that we have ever stayed in.
The rooms are first class
The staff and management are first class
The food is out of this world
This is a life experience and we will be back
Both the wife and I ordered the Sri Lankin Lamb Curry and was awesome especially if you are a spice lover. The owner Tim was there on his thrown and was welcoming as much as the staff were. Did have a chat with Tim for awhile and a great man to talk with. Thanks team for good night, nothing was an issue considering how busy it was.cheers and beers
Fantastic food and service. Tim the owner greeted us, very warm and friendly. Interesting collection of things to look at.
Amazing steak cooked to perfection with generous serving of chips and salad. Lovely cold beverage to go with it. The hotel had been recommended to us by many Jamestown locals and it didn’t disappoint. Great eclectic dining room which was a buzz with social tables. No televisions was much appreciated.
The Commercial Hotel Jamestown is an awesome place to visit for drink, pool, general conversation an top meals, highly recommend, top staff especially management
The commercial hotel was recommended to me by my family and it did not disappoint. The service was great, food was fabulous and at a decent price. Will be returning.
Hidden gem in the heart of the mid north.
Always wondered where the locals go and now I know.
Good food at great prices, atmosphere to match.
Booked for dinner last Thursday evening. Beautiful meal.but was charged $47 for one beer and a glass of water.
We were a large family group of sixteen so we were in the private dining room. The service was discrete and the serves large. The food was well prepared and presented. I had been before, two years ago, for a Freemasons Dinner, and it was as good yet again. My wife and I will definitely come again.
This was the second time that our food was over an hour waiting for chicken that was off when complaining to staff actually swore at my daughter in law then the owner told me that it wasn't off so no tea tonight
Hands down the best beef schnitty we've ever had! Thick, juicy, crunchy crumb, not oily and the gravy was on point as well great service as well.
Amazing little pub!
We had a lovely meal. The prices are very reasonable and the serving size was generous. My husband loved his beef schnitzel and my honey chicken was excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Quite disappointed to find that the advertised ' complimentary salad or vege bar' wasn't available or on offer.
4 of us went for dinner, 2 Ordered schnitzel, one other theThai salad and the other Curried beef, the only meal that was a Reasonable size was salad, In all our travelling around South Australia they had the smallest schnitzel we have ever had, 3 of us walked away still hungry!
I didn't stay there. Had lunch. I love parmys.well did. The ham or bacon whatever they use is not working well. They used to be so good. And the chips r like just blah.
Didn't stay there, but had dinner. Great meals. Huge serves. Reasonably quick. Prices? Maybe a little high but for the size meal, ok.
Stopped up here for work overnight. Absolute dismal experience. Staff show no interest in wanting to work. About exciting as watching paint dry in winter. Will go else where next time
On arrival greeted by miss grumpy, return for an evening meal in the bar and asked for a beer and the menu. Served the beer and ordered my meal, only to be told that I had to go the other side of the bar to order. Another fella asked for a menu, he was told their over there. When I went to the other side miss grumpy was still grumpy. Not returning anytime soon. Oh miss grumpy (ashleigh) learn to smile and have a customer focus. And then they forgot my order before reminding them. Must be the moon phase. And then I asked for a tax invoice, well did that not fly well. Take a leaf out of the young fellas serving the meals, well mannered and cheerful with a smile. All is not lost.
