The Coffee Club Café - Harbourtown Adelaide reviews
68Waited 45+ minutes for a toastie and a kids cheeseburger.after 30 mins of waiting and bringing it up with staff, was met with blatant answers, rudeness, no rush and zero apology.was hoping for better!
Waiting for three-quarters of an hour for raisen toast and toasted sandwich, still waiting.
Asked for refund and staff were giggling.
Absolutely disgusted, will not be returning ever again
Customer service was lacking. I ordered a coffee and a muffin. The girl behind the counter asked what size coffee so I said regular size please. She was very gruff and said there were only cups or mugs. I confirmed a cup please. She then told me to grab a muffin from the counter. It was not served to me on a plate, I had to take the glad-wrapped muffin to my table and eat it with my fingers. The girl did not smile and looked unhappy. The table was also very dirty. I will not return to this store in a hurry.
A good food eatery option to cover most palettes. Seating inside or out with accessible options.
Wait times are generally high due to demand and size of Cafe.
Pricing is too high for the quality and portion size. The pancakes were not much larger than a scoop of the ice crusted stale icecream and frozen berries.
Thickshake was nice, flavoursome and fresh.
Coffee was good, not burnt or bitter.
Went with my family, usually good food. Not very good this time. Ordered a salted caramel espresso frappe, had no taste of salted caramel just tasted like burnt coffee. Also got two iced chocolates which stated it came with ice cream and had none in either of them. Customer service was a bit poor. Also ordered two ham and cheese sourdough toasties, they were so dry with no butter and barely any ham.
I get why the service isn't great during a Sunday lunch hour, but they could really use some staff increase. Coffee came in a takeaway cup, our tables weren't wiped after asking thrice (and some other customers were literally asking for rags to wipe their own tables" and there was just an air of "I don't care" with all the servers.
I sympathize, it's a brutal industry and job and everyone working these jobs will always have my respect. But the bare minimum can surely be expected.
Coffee order of iced long black was made incorrectly & when bought to their attention, instead of a fresh coffee, just threw a couple of ice cubes in
Its a nice place to have lunch in Harbour Town. Although we had to wait a while for our food, it was still nice food and coffee.
Very disappointed. First lady that brought our coffee to us did not speak a single word, asked nicely if she wouldn't mind wiping the table as there was clearly crumbs everywhere from the customers before us. We then said thanks after, just completely ignored us. (The other 2 ladies were very friendly).
Had a BBQ pulled beef & bacon flat grill that only had a thin layer of meat in 60% of the flat grill. My sweet potato fries was burnt, really untasty. The salad wasn't fresh at all, the cucumber bent like rubber.
I'm not a person that easily writes bad reviews but this is a must. STAY AWAY
Clearly short staffed on a very busy Saturday. Doing their best but unable to spare time to clear pigeon mess off the outside seats for customers we heard asking.
Had brunch here today & was famished. Ordered Big veg breakfast.
The coffee was ok not great the meal was tasteless, how is it possible to have tastless vegetables haloume was like rubber, processed hash brown the pickled Cauliflower was well not pickled, with a strange not nice aftertaste so left it mushrooms also had a strange taste, again offputting.
I ate the eggs the sourdough slice, sliver of advocado. Left the rest as inedible. I eat in cafe's everyday this is not the worst I have been to but not far off. This is for the Har our Town shop only but I doubt I will try any of the others for fear of the same cold experience, I felt not necessary & the table was dirty.
Came with my partner and both meals we ordered, was missing half the ingredients that we were looking forward to have. My frappe didn’t come with whip cream even if we asked for it specifically. No napkins were given at any point. The fries were soggy and no salt or seasoning what so ever. The flat grill I ordered was flat indeed. Almost nothing inside. Regret spending my money here and won’t be back. If you are in harbour town, don’t waste your time and money here. Don’t go to eat here until the owners of this franchise change. It’s become just a money grab with no good service or food given to us in return. The owners clearly don’t care about the standards or their employees.
Definitely not coming back!
This place has gone completely down hill, waited 30 minutes then asked where my meal was only to be told it got missed and they did not appear to care! My daughters was on the same order and came out so unsure how that occurred. Absolutely useless will not be returning and do not recommend! Don’t waste your money here……
$25 for a big breakfast, I chose sunny side up eggs. The eggs were so overcooked they were like plastic. The rest was OK but I'd expect much better for the price.
We stopped by for a lunch and ordered Flat Grills: Camembert, Chicken & Bacon; Chicken, Sweet Potato & Pesto. Also a Long Black and a Macchiato.
The food were good and tasted great, same with the coffee. I say, the serving sizes are average and the price.some are a bit pricier.
Food was good. Flat Grill was nice. The added chips felt like a mix of fresh and older ones. The pancakes were ok, not great, not bad. The extra hot coffee was nice and extra hot. The cookies and cream frappe was also really nice. Appreciate that. What I didn’t appreciate was the 40 minute wait for food, and despite asking how long it was going to be after 30 minutes, I got no response until I asked another waitress again. If you’re going to use the “order at the table” you need to keep up with the orders. The tables were only half full, so it wasn’t like you were exceptionally busy.
Enjoyed a welcome cappuccino coffee and shared an apple and raspberry slice. The slice was fresh and tasty without being too sweet. The waitresses were friendly and service was quick and efficient. The Cafe had a large and varied menu with ample choice of dishes for either breakfast, brunch or lunch.
Discussing
Very poor service.
Dry bread with minimum contents after waiting 45 minutes. UNACCEPTABLE.
Can’t even make a basic ham and cheese toastie, it really isn’t that hard
Rude service as well
Service were so slow, we’ve ordered through app that it’s says “SKIP THE QUEUE! Order from your mobile” and we’ve waited 40mins just for a sandwich!
