The Castle Tavern

Very disappointed with food and service, far too slow. Waited for over an hr for dessert, still hadn't arrived, so asked and received a refund. Usually excellent in all ways, looked like wait staff/chefs
couldn't cope on this extra busy day!

Came here with family, they really messed up 3 of our simple orders (multiple times)
We ordered a coffee that we still haven’t received (40 mins waiting so far) we got told to wait for a replacement part of one meal which we didn’t end up even getting until finished. Food was also very cold.never coming back again!

I live near. Not fancy. But let me tell you, the steaks never, ever disappoint. Ever. A properly and chilled pour.

The schnitzel was extremely salty it was like they coated it in just salt, also ordered a burger that had no flavour and the bun was burnt wouldn’t recommend at all.

Great food and great service, the only thing i didn't like was that both myself and my friend ordered mushroom sauce with our food, he got 1 slice of mushroom and i got none apart from that it was good

We have purchased take away from here on a weekly basis for a long time now, however will not be returning after staff forgot to give us part of our meal. Upon calling up, the staff member said, 'ohh yes, I can see that sitting on the bench, we must have forgot to give it to you'. I said we couldn't come back given we were on our way to school sports and asked whether they could refund 50% of the meal. She put me through to the manager who could only be described as rude and dismissive. After explaining that my meal was wrecked given I only eat the salad, I asked for 1 meal to be half price the next week. He simply said there's nothing more I can do for you and stated 'you've received most of the meal'. I could not believe my ears. I asked for his name and he refused before hanging up on me! No accountability for terrible customer service!

Good meals. Prices have gone up a little in 2022. Quiz night, on Wednesday's has unfortunately closed. Still recommend having a dinner there. Staff do recognise their regular customers by name.

The food is hit & miss (mostly miss) depending on the chef. My Thai beef salads end up with most of the beef left on a side plate as they don't cut off the fat. The chicken parmy tomato sauce tastes like it's from the Dorito's nacho dip jar.

The staff hardly smile (although they are always polite & friendly) they seem unhappy, I can't help but think it's not the best place to work.

Wow the meals are great, restaurant is in a different section to the sports bar but close to pokies which you can't see, the staff were great and for lunch ring ahead and bookahead, the lambs fry was great

We enjoyed a senior's meal for lunch. I had roast pork and my husband had the lambs fry and bacon. The meals were well presented and of generous prepositions.

The castle tavern itself is a little dated but the service was great staff very friendly and one of the best pub meals we have had food well presented lovely salad in a side bowl gravy on the side a crispy chips!

Great place for a catch up with friends.
Varied menu and really good prices.
Service was good, and there was no sense that we needed to leave once we had finished eating.
The crispy buttermilk chicken burger with waffle fries is highly recommended.

Place is really good and the ambience is very beautiful.happy to go back to this place again.good hangout place with family and friends

Buying your x lotto is a bad experience their, you ask for your x lotto for that day plus two more x lotto tickets for that day only to get home and wait for x lotto to come on the telly then check your tickets and realize they've repeated the 3 x lotto tickets exactly the same as the first ticket and when I went back the next day to point this out they couldn't be any unapologetic at all but say I must of asked for the same tickets there skills on running x lotto games is shameful and utterly disgraceful and wouldn't recommend anyone buying your tickets from their but it's amazing to watch how super quick to rush and give patrons change for the slot machines while others are trying to get their keno game's in and missing out for that game because slot's are a better revenue so my view is they should lose the x lotto and keno just keep the slots, and the Highway Inn on Anzac Highway should do the same

First the not so good, smokers hanging around outside the doors with a degree of wafting to the inner. For the amount of people who actually smoke these days they should be banished to the outer carpark in order to look after the majority who bring in the revenue.
Now the good, more than ample portions, the quality of food was excellent all round. The chef warrants a special mention as many claim to be able to cook a steak perfectly to request but almost none hit it! But this guy absolutely nailed not one but two! Perfectly medium rare! Timing was good with entree/ main etc. Beer was frosty and spirits well mixed. The decor was unassuming yet comfortable. It gave a dining experience that many high end places struggle to achieve. If they decorated it would be truly dangerous! 9/10 sizzling surf and turfs. CM

A friend suggested the Castle Tavern as a meeting point, it's easy to get to and get parking as it's within a shopping complex.

Had the scotch fillet with onion rings and chips on the specials board.

The steak was cooked perfectly, so the typical 'pub fare' is great at the Castle Tavern.

They also know how to make a proper coffee.

They even reopened the kitchen for us after it closed for the day for us to order desert!

Friendly staff, all in all, a great experience with a reasonable price.

This place is amazing! The staff are very friendly and down to earth and polite Will actually make you feel welcome, good prices, amazing food, you seriously can't go wrong.

Needed a place with a good breakfast menu. This place did not disappoint at all. As soon as I walked in the doors I was greeted by a very welcoming gentleman, polite, friendly and professional. Brenton was happy to answer all my questions and didn't turn an eye when I wanted to modify my veggie breaky. Kudos to the cheif, everything was cooked perfectly and was spot on for the size portion. Excellent food, fantastic service and will definitely be back when I'm in these parts. 10/10 thanks guys. Keep up the pearla work

I went there with my elderly parents on a Tuesday because they offer Lambs Fry on that day. It's unusual for that particular dish to be offered and as well as being very tasty served with bacon and gravy its tremendously good for you. We were politely asked to sanitize our hands before we accessed the salad bar and we were glad to do so. Chairs are comfortable and tables are not too close together. Toilets are clean airy and spacious. The car park is now covered with solar panels meaning everyone gets to park in the shade. The three of us enjoyed our meals with a soft drink for $20 each. I recommend this place.
