We went here for a wedding reception and it was fantastic. Everything was amazing and the hospitality of the staff is great. Will be back again.

Discovered a fine dining spot in the hills of Adelaide - The Bridgewater Mills. The waterwheel is built in 1860, till now the iconic waterwheel outside is definitely a popular spot for photos. With the warmer weather, the jacarandas flowers are also in full bloom. The restaurant primarily uses ingredients from South Australia, showingcasing the freshness of local produce and top-notch service, truly embodying the Taste of South Australia and beyond.
Highly recommend everyone to check in at this restaurant and enjoy the exquisite food and wine! "

Alic Food ShangI found a high-end restaurant, The Bridgewater Mills, in Mount Adelaide. Since 1860, the waterwheel outside has definitely been a good place for everyone to take photos and check in. As the weather warms, the jacaranda flowers are also in full bloom. Most of the ingredients used in the restaurant come from South Australia. The fresh local ingredients and high-quality service fully demonstrate the Taste of South Australia and beyond.
I highly recommend everyone to come to this restaurant to enjoy delicious food and wine

No atmosphere, no music. Server didn’t know anything about the menu. Sent two meals back bcos they were cold. Partners steaks were average. Second time round after waiting my fish was a little raw and mussels still not cooked properly. Side dishes came out after our partners had finished. Didn’t eat much at all. But the hospitality CEO did save the day and wipe our entire bill. Not the answer but a good gesture.

We had the worst experience. We’ve been before and always loved it but it was a very different story this time. Very limited menu - and then they didn’t have the steak or fish on the menu which limited it even more. We ordered pork which was served cold and snapper bisque and pasta. There was no sauce on the pasta at all so it was bland and dry and there was no bisque with the snapper. The snapper was re-heated but clearly in a microwave because it came back dry and tough and the “crackle” had turned to rubber. The snapper was the worst - words can’t explain how bad it smelled. It apparently tasted worse. We are not people who complain, but it was so bad we had to. We very politely complained to the poor young waitress but really the manager or chef or maitre d should have come out and spoke to us. They did not. The wine was excellent and the waitress handled the situation very well but we would never go back there ever again. Extremely disappointing. Definitely wouldn’t recommend, especially considering the prices. They did discount our meal slightly but given we ate nothing but a mouthful of each meal it was an expensive exercise.

Mothers day brunch. A little disorganised. No flowers on the table as ordered (they were brought out later). Food was luke warm. Staff were wonderful and offered more than the one free champagne. Would definitely return to try the restaurant menu.

What an absolute treasure in the hills this place is. We were on our way to the pub but decided to just drop in and check this place out. It's gorgeous. Service was impeccable, and the cocktails prepared lovingly and were delicious! We just had some bread and olives since we were there between lunch and dinner, but we will come back for a meal.

Probably only the amazing weather that upped this from a one star reciew. Group of 6 adults + kids. Seated promptly. Ordered some Peronis- 'sorry out of those, we have lower strength ones though'. Turned out to be 0% not what we were after but drank them as not to waste them. Picked out lunch off the menu, with 4 of us wanting oysters for entree and steak for mains only to be told they were out of both. Ended up with prawns, croquettes and cerviche. The croquettes were the size of table grapes with 4 for $27 and very average. The rest was ok. Mains came out 45 minutes after entrees, well 5 of the 6 at least with 25 minutes till the 6 was served and by that time the sides of vegetables were all cold. The main was comped but a big let down when we were here for his birthday. Finished by ordering 4 coffees. Out of decaf beans, that was fine but somehow our 4 flat whites turned into 2 flat whites and 2 cappuccinos. Again accepted them so we could leave more than anything else. Have been a few times but don't think I will be back.

It is rather disappointing to write a poor review without having dined at the Mill. For a reputable establishment you would expect a professional approach to their service. Not quite…
I booked a table for our anniversary way back in June for a Monday lunch. An initial confirmation was sent then another email confirmation was sent on Sunday, the day before the reservation. Then to my utmost surprise I received an automated cancellation email on the morning of my reservation! Upon some investigation I discovered the restaurant had changed their opening hours 5 weeks ago… and yet with all that time they could not be bothered to inform their patrons of this change.
Oh, I did send an email to the manager expressing my disappointment… but what will that change? Based on experience to date I hold very little hope for an understanding and apologetic reply.

Sorry but bad experience here, poor communication with menu, slow service, dry pork belly, very salty beef cheeks and very bland risotto. Won’t return for the money

The menu is very limited and you have only 4 options. Only outside is beautiful, inside is very boring.

This restaurant is located at a beautiful location. The set up is beautiful and clean. Friendly staff. We ordered chefs selection menue and the food was beautifully presented. The first two shared dishes was so delicious and we thought the rest will live upto it. Unfortunately, the remaining dishes were below average except the tempura broccoli and all dishes lacked seasoning. We didn't like the flavour combinations of the shared dishes and they didn't sing together.

Brilliant deck setting under shade umbrellas. Service just OK, food slow but stylish as you would expect. A little on the pricey side. Value for money questionable.

We recently had lunch at Bridgewater Mill for my youngest son’s birthday. My other son has multiple severe allergies and the Chefs were fantastic at adapting his meals where necessary to suit his requirements. We had the feed me menu and honestly had so much food we couldn’t eat it all (I haven’t included photos of all dishes as I was too excited to eat and forgot to take a couple). The food was just delicious and the venue is stunning. We sat outside on a lovely autumn day and took In the stunning scenery. The service was fantastic and we couldn’t fault the wait staff. Definitely recommend!

We have been to The Mill quite a bit but none of our visits was as good as the last one: OUR WEDDING!

We are absolutely delighted with how the whole day went.

Jo & Duncan were just amazing to have nearby for any questions or concerns (or if you needed a glass of bubbles) and the food was wonderful.

All of our guests raved about the beautiful venue, food, drinks and atmosphere.

We will be regulars, I'm sure, for years to come!

Sad to see the place of my wedding is now discriminating against a private medical status. So looks like I won't be celebrating my 1st year anniversary here. Disgraceful.
