The Beachouse reviews
45A lot of different attractions. But they are not divided into zones and therefore it looks like they are simply stacked. The dry and wet zones inexplicably intersect, and therefore everything is wet where there are arcade games. Such things need to be zoned. The attractions themselves are in a worn state, it is desirable to update them, or at least to repair those that are not working.
Attended a 5th birthday with a child - from his POV of course it was great. My thoughts are that for the majority of families the heafty price tags to slide or ride are not feasible. Very expensive and this needs urgent review so children from all socio-economic situations have the opportunity to have fun there outside of being guests at parties. Some aspects of venue looking tired and due for update. Lastly too many doors where children can access, there needs to be one central entry and exit for safety.
Pretty good, the kids had a ball I think it needs a bit more of a variety of games upstairs, the waterslides were great, there is a but of hot food, def need more snack options there was only 1 muffin & a couple of slices of cake in the glass display and it was a sat morning, should prob be fully stocked, coffee was good.
Went for my grandsons party. The host was useless no organisation. Food expensive and not worth it. Then got a parking ticket I didn't realise it was pay first.
As the place it was great for the kids they loved it
Had our school excursion here. Amazing place to have some fun with your mates. Food was a bit overpriced but otherwise it was a great place to have our last excursion/day out with all of us
I just loaded up $100 each on two cards for the boys to play video games
Half of the machines are malfunctioning.
Guns are shooting off screen
Fire buttons and inoperable
And accelerator pedals are not working
It's a lot of money to be disappointed
I had my sons birthday, was very nice place, the girls were very gentle, and very polite
The children had a lot of fun,
Best place for children,
Five
Loud and packed. Great for kids, not so much for adults. Good water slides, well maintained. So-so value for money, horrible, barely edible food. Fun for kids.
Writing a beautiful and genuine review as we had a great birthday day party at Beach house. We’re so impressed with the staffs engagement and encouragement with kids. A special thanks to Lara Davis and Mia Thorne for being an excellent party guides. Their tactics on dealing with kids especially kids with bit shyness and lack of confidence in engaging with other kids and rides amazed all the parents at party. I am so impressed with their service. Gratitude to Beach house management too.
A pretty niche arcade located in Glenelg,
Games are okay, however seem to be under-serviced and some quite often have at least one thing wrong with them. Pricing can be pretty expensive too via normal credit loading, with bonus credit not even being able to be used on Prize/Ticket games. Amusements such as dodgem cars, bumper boats and water slides are pretty unique, but are also highly expensive.
I would highly recommend purchasing one of the 10am time cards, being one of the cheapest options to get your money’s worth of both arcade games and amusements.
Would like to see some changes regarding normal credit loading and prices of arcade games, but other than that, the Beachouse is a nice little arcade, with nice views from the Function room overlooking Glenelg beach.
Lots of activities for the kids, video games, dodgem cars, boats, water slides, mini putt putt, mini 3D Cinema. Plenty to choose from. Snack bar has a reasonable range of food. It is a popular place so it can be busy and crowded at times. Has paid parking underneath.
My 3 kids, ranging from 5½yrs-14yrs old had an absolute ball here!
We did the 2hrs lock-in $35, great value!
The beach house is staffed by 20 year olds who don’t execute a high level of customer service.
We arrived with 3 children on a weekday at 3pm and purchased a package of activities totalling $90.
We purchased at 3.10pm and we’re not informed that they closed in 50 mins and there was no way we would get to use all the activities. When we spoke to the manager we were met with an insincere apology. Expensive and horrible customer service.
Hot and sweaty but not in a good way.
But it's still a fun way to convert a couple of hours pay into a small handful of paper tickets and then into a tiny piece of plastic.
My boy really enjoyed the arcade games. We paid the 2hr package and I think is a bit expensive. The food inside is nothing really amazing (other similar indoor cafes are better) and again bit expensive. Overall it's a once a year experience (we did it as a replacement of the royal Adelaide show) The staff was nice and trying to help.
This is such a great place for both kids and adults. So many fun activities and you could easily spend 3-4 hours
Good indoor amusement centre with water slides, bumper boats, arcade games and more over 2 levels.
It is a good time for me and my family to have to work in the city and try again again and again again for the reasons.
The state of my 16mth old sons socks from playing in the Castle area shows that this place is dirtier than a mechanic work shop. Wish I could post a picture of the socks on here, they will be going straight in the bin! Please clean this place for the health of the little ones!
Sadly it was good a few years ago but with increasing cost of maintenance and repair of arcade machines and lack of business means half the machines are broken and they cost
$3.50 per game. Increasing costs and lack of customers equals failed business model.
