Well decked out, modern. Good pub food, the beef burger I had stacked up to it's cliams, not bad at all! Cheers.

Had lunch at The Barker today. What I ordered was the best roast I've had in a long time. Roast turkey & ham with brocolinni, potatoes, pumpkin and a carrot puree with gravy. The meat was cooked so perfectly it just melted in your mouth. The vegetables were also cooked perfectly. It's not listed as but it was a perfect Thanksgiving meal. Loved it. Never had a bad meal at this place.

9, including 2 children enjoyed Sunday lunch today. Lovely food, friendly staff and pleasant, comfortable, surroundings.

Food was really nice and the dining area is modern, meals were served promptly. Will definitely return again.

Well staffed with good atmosphere the evening we were there. Drinks were cold and Fish and chip dinner was very tasty.

Great menu, lots of interesting variety on Specials board.

I was with a group of about 15 people having bar meals.
The service an atmosphere was good and everyone was happy with what they ordered.

Went today Saturday 3rd April. Waitress who was very very rude said there was a surcharge for Easter. When has Easter Saturday been a public holiday? When we all said there was no public holiday today she became even more rude. So we decided to leave. Way to go waitress in these covid-19 times when tourism is much needed. You missed out on 4 people ready to buy lunch! Would never return & will recommend my friends & family don't either. By the way we went up the road to Greys Inn for lunch. Well worth it & didn't charge a surcharge!

Great food and friendly staff let us change tables no problem. Kids loved the magician. Meals were probably a little overpriced but other than that, great

Don't go there if you're wanting a steak. Ordered medium rare and it was still basically blue on the inside, paid $36 for a steak that I didn't even get to enjoy.

Their Garlic bread is AMAZING! Food is really nice too, but it's little pricey. For 3 meals (schnitzel) 3 drinks 3 starters $130. Booths are nice to sit in. Environment is nice too. My daughter's favourite place.

Was visiting from Victoria, stopped in for a meal, which was great and fair priced. I had the burger, the pattie was one of the best I've had, cooked just right and very tasty. We had some Westend beer which was on tap, excellent, and played some pool. Totally enjoyed my visit to The Barker.

Great food. The roast and the squid easily the best have ever had any where. Highly recommend and service was good. Friendly staff and will be back.

Ate there Sunday, had garlic bread, chicken schnitzel and spicy chicken burger, both terrible for the price. Schnitzel looked like the ones u buy at Coles and was cold inside so obviously frozen, salad it came with was old with slimy bits thru it, tomato was floury, chicken burger meat had a strange taste and texture, garlic bread the only godsend. Won't be going back!

The Barker Hotel is on the corner of Gawler St + Stephen St in central Mt Barker. This hotel is 1 of 4 hotels in close proximity. 'The Barker' is a blend of new and old building. The front bar is in the old section whilst the restruant is in th remodelled section. Outside seating to dine next to the street is available. Service in the restruant is fast, efficient and friendly. The meals are scrumptious.

My meal was excellent, my partner's meal didn't measure up - the slice of lemon to drizzle on his fish was missing and his salad had virtually no dressing rendering it very bland.
Usually a 5 star place to eat but only 4 this time.

Served very quickly & had delicious Turkey roast & Vegies were very tender. Will be back.

Great food with generous portions and reasonable pricing. Service was a little slow when getting drinks/ordering food BUT it was not long after New Years. Lol So maybe everyone was a little off.
