The ARC Campbelltown reviews
82Our first visit ever, and it was for our child's birthday as a pool party. The whole process of booking and setting up the party ahead of time was so easy, and so much was included in the package! Tables were allocated and decorated for us, right next to an allocated swim area. The host on the day (Danielle) was great with the kids and they all had a ball. My son said it was his best birthday ever, and it was just what he wanted. Would definitely recommend the ARC for a pool party.
The warmest swimming centre. Great for kids. Usually the pool is not too busy, although the carpark is usually very full due to all the other activities happening at the sports centre
Very good set up, well organised.
Clean and tidy. The pool instructors appeared to be very professional.
Definitely worth taking the children for swimming training
The ARC is no longer providing noodles for patrons. Many patrons are being inconvenienced. I was initially advised by the manager that a risk assessment was completed and the risk of someone taking an ARC noodle could drown if they let go of it whilst in the pool was identified in a risk analysis. By contrast a swimming supervisor advised patrons that the noodles were removed as there was limited space after recent renovations. After a complaint to Council the patrons are now being told by the same Manager that a patron almost drowned whilst using an ARC noodle. This was not given as the initial rationale. No patrons who attend daily witnessed the reported incident of a patron nearly drowning. Very unclear about actual rationale for removal. There is always a swimming supervisor on duty so puzzled how a patron nearly drowned and why the change in the rationale? It is a pity for patrons as elderly people use them to stabilise when with a carer and people have difficultly carrying them in to the centre. One lady will now need to bring a noodle on public transport. Other pools do provide noodles for the convienience of patrons. All staff not in agreement too as a supervisor at the pool has shared it is a pity the Manager has removed the noodles. Please re-consider this decision?
Amazing facility. 5 lane pool with general exercise area, kid's pool, massive spa and sauna. They run fitness classes and have Squash, basketball courts plus cafe.
A great place for kids and adults alike. The pool is large and well ventilated although still stuffy on hot days so if you aren't planning on getting in on a hot day, bring plenty of water. Friendly staff. Nice little Cafe with a decent offering of healthy and unhealthy options. Courts for hire. Gym.
Still love this place. Excellent facilities which have been well maintained. Front desk can be a bit slow at busy times and the level of competencein thegenerallyyoung staff is quite variable. Overall a great place for a wide variety of sports and fitness activities.
Outstanding squash facilities, also noteworthy is extensive basketball courts and swimming centre
Usually come here for a bit of 25m lap swimming so can't comment on the gym or other indoor sports facilities.
This is a busy centre so the car park is regularly busy also. The facilities are certainly new and modern and that has likely contributed to the popularity of kids swimming lessons. If you are looking to lap swim then pay attention to the online lap lane availability schedule and avoid peak times. Given the traffic in the pool, it is normally on the warm side but I'd say the water quality is fairly consistent in the lap area.
There is a small sauna on site but this is frequently a sardine room of awkwardness!
The designers certainly skipped the priority of providing sufficient room in the shower and change room facilities; there are only 4 shower cubicles, 2 tiny benches and a small number of lockers (nearly all broken).
This place is awesome, fixed my bball shot. Now has a great arc and goes swish swish bby

Reviewing this place was hard because it’s such a mixed bag but here we go.
Reception: The reception staff are great very helpful and they do the best to give prompt service. 4stars.
Cafe: good prices and the ladies are absolute class 5 stars
Toilets and showers…well there is no scrubbing brushes and it shows, very hard to get a toilet that doesn’t have pop stuck to the sides…and the showers are gross hard to imagine they are cleaned often, I close my eyes and pray I don’t get a disease. -5 stars
Pool and spa: the pool is short and the spa isn’t hot it’s pool temp so don’t dream of soaking in a hot spa after a workout…on the other hand the kid section is very fun for my child so overall 3 stars.
Lockers: hey they work which is better than most gyms. 3 stars
Gym equipment: safe and functional
Wifi/phone reception: my god it’s awful, if you like accessing music or video via the internet for your workout too bad, the wifi hardly works and somehow there is no reception…seriously better reception across the Nullarbor in some places.
All in all not a bad gym, but it’s overpriced and is capitalising on lack of good competitors in SA.
Great facility for swimming. My little girl goes for swimming lessons and our coach Deb is just amazing. She is so caring and so warm towards all kids. We love her.
Also all staff at the front desk have been really welcoming as well.
Not impressed at all.
The smell of chlorine was so over-powering I got an immediate migraine. How people go there and spend hours with their kids and not feel the effects I'll never know.
The change rooms, showers and toilets were literally swimming in water and I almost fell twice.
Parking was terrible. The lower car park barely holds 10 cars. The upper was fairly empty but I had to go down 2 flights of stairs that were quite high and of course them back up them. Considering I'm recovering from surgery, that wasn't fun.
Won't be going back I'm afraid.
This place is quiet popular, from squash courts and gyms to a masive swimming area for all ages. Toilets and restrooms are always clean. Usually busy but it is worth visiting.
The place it's great, the Cafe the worst experience I ever had in my life, Even if they tried to staff it up they couldn't staffed up any worst than that. And they wher rude and didn't even say sorry
School swimming lessons every year here are great, this year the change rooms were an issue and no notice was given out I hope this will be resolved by next year's lessons. Otherwise great
Great local sporting facility, numerous multi use courts, sqush courts and a diverse indoor swim centre.
Friendly Staff, great parking, very steep stairs from carpark to entrance, very clean facilities.
Love coming here. Basketball court for casual shots is top notch. The pool area with the lap, casual swimming and spa is always a great experience. Squash courts are nice to play on too!
Excellent New sports facility just 10 mins drive from the city. The pool and it's associated facilities may bit small but it's sufficient. It does become harder to change during busier times.
