Terroir Auburn reviews
49 9/11/23 Great place for dinner with excellent service and exceptional food.
Attached accomodation was very clean and comfortable. Proprietor and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Stayed in the accommodation and it was very well decorated and comfortable. The owners have obviously put time and effort and care into their establishment to make sure their guests have an enjoyable experience. This is good to see that there are still some accommodations providers really putting in effort. The building itself was very quaint and had a lot of character. Would definitely recommend it if you were looking to stop in Auburn.
Unexpected gem! One of the best restaurant I have been in a while. Creative food, cooked with fresh veggies from their garden. They were able to accomodate one of our vegetarian guest last minute and it was one of the best dishes they’ve ever had.
Also great atmosphere and good wine list.
Excellent service & food. Dan, Anika & staff always friendly.highly recommend Terroir.well worth the trip
A luxury and affordable 4 course meal in the Clare Valley. Cosy restaurant with great service and excellent quality food that I have paid more for worse quality in the city.
We had a table of six for the local appreciation night. Thank you Terrior for a very pleasant night with friends. The service was very professional yet friendly, the dishes presented well, and tasted even better.
The food is like nothing else you will experience in the valley. The combination of unique ingredients is an experience for the senses. Everytime I look at the menu I’m unsure of what to expect but the combinations are faultless! Amazing! Wood fire going is amazing for cozy winter dining with all the fine dining trimmings.
Loved the fact that we are away from the maddening race with people that care what they do.
I felt absolutely terrible for mixing up my dinner booking and the owner was super understanding and kind enough to cancel our dinner booking last minute. Will have to come back and taste the amazing food everyone is raving about for sure! We are staying at the cottage at the back it's super cozy. Highly recommended to everyone who wants to stay in auburn /clare region.
Attached is today's dinner menu from Terroir at Auburn. The food is mostly locally sourced and the menu changes daily.
The 3 courses were light, innovative and had great flavour pairings. The drinks menu was extensive, interesting and included a large section of non-alcoholic drinks.
Service was excellent and the meal was good value for money.
We would definitely return.
The ambience, food and service were the best we have experienced in a long time especially as set in quiet town.
A perfect end to a day wine-tasting in the Clare Valley. From the moment Declan opened the door to us, we were well-looked after and the introductory chickpea churro set the lofty standard that would be sustained all evening. A dietary difference accommodated with the minimum of fuss, we two couples enjoyed the four courses, each of which contained originality and innovation of taste, texture and colour, well balanced and considered - and our wine choices were a sublime match to our food. The entire package of food, wine, atmosphere and service combined wonderfully into an evening we will be returning to experience again.
In line with other reviews, the dining experience was superb. Even the home made bread to start was a treat, but only a prequel to the amazing entree freshly harvested from the garden, the sand whiting and pea agnolotti, the superb beef and the amazing parfait for dessert. All served with lovely wines and a spirit of generosity. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Clare Valley.
Amazing restaurant! Food was delicious, with excellent flavours, fresh ingredients and superb techniques.
Lucky to get the last Saturday table at late notice, simple delicate food presented with delicious wines in the classic old store front. Attentive friendly staff made for a very good evening
My husband and I dined at Terroir Auburn for the second time last evening. One of the best dining experiences in Australia to date. Everything was perfectly curated and unbelievably delicious. Every single dish that came out was meticulously made with such an incredible eye for detail. The staff were all excellent and very intuitive—such a wonderful place for a special occasion. Highly recommend.
We went for the locavore evening on a Wednesday night. A set menu focussing on locally sourced food. 3 courses and you have a choice between 2 for each course.
All the food was brilliant. The 2 of us shared so we had a chance to try everything. They have an extensive local wine list.
All very good.
Lovely ambience in the old building.
Special mention to the 2 lovely staff who served us.
Fantastic food. Good atmosphere. Excellent staff and service. One of our best dining experiences ever.
Highly recommended! A Locavore specialist serving whatever is available which helps to minimise food waste and eat seasonal food which is better for our health.
