Tea Tree Gully Charcoal Chicken

Pineapple fritters are the best thing ever. Without a doubt the best chicken/fish and chip shop in the area. Has changed owners a few times over the years but the food always been good. It has been the go to place for decades. Current owners are great, fast and friendly service.

Just placed a phone order and was advised 10 minutes for 2 fish and chips. Rocked up to collect and proceeded to wait a further 25 minutes.with 4 other customers in the place.get a grip guys it's deep-fried food, not a rib eye. Unacceptable

XL chips for $18.90
I have been living around the corner to this shop for over 15 years. We have ordered many times from here and the food quality has always been quite good. Last week we had family over and cooked some burgers on our chargrill, so we phoned ahead for an XL bag of chips to go with our meals. When I called to place the order, I explained we are only 30 seconds away and wanted our chips to be started right away as we would be there shortly. My partner went to pick the order up about 10 minutes later, as to give them time to cook the chips. Once paid for, had to wait quite a while and still no order. Over half an hour had passed from placing the order and they still hadn't started it. I called and the girl apologized and I said I needed my order as the other prepared burgers for our family dinner where going cold. She didn't know what to say, I asked for a small discount for the inconvenience, and she said she will organize it with the owner. Another 15 minutes went by and still no order, so I called again and got a different girl on the phone. I asked to speak with the owner and wanted to cancel my order, instead of putting the owner on the phone, she told me I am not allowed to talk with him as he was too busy. I then said I wanted to cancel my order and she would not do that either. My partner arrived back home with the chips 1 hour later. Dinner was ruined and the majority of the chips were thrown in the bin. We never received a discount.
This has been the worst experience ever for such a simple order. At no point did they say they were busy and orders would be delayed, if we knew we would not have placed the order.
We will never go back again and I will inform all my friends in the area not to buy from them either.
Our experience and treatment was so awful that I wrote this review, my 1st time ever leaving a review, which shows how upset we were.
Shame on you for treating your 15 year long loyal local customers this way.

Chicken hot pack had no gravy and chicken did not taste at all like charcoal chicken. Probably the worst hot pack i have ever had.

Very nice people, happy to cook your chips etc, the way you like them. The quality of the food is awesome. I'll be back.

We had a big order for a family birthday party and we weren't disappointed. The roast chickens with gravy and chips were delicious. Thank you for your wonderful food and customer service over the weekend!

I had a whole chicken fish and chips like allways fantastic food ill be back for sure keep up the great work

Very impressed with the quality of the food. The tabouli salad was the best I’ve had, and the Greek salad is nice too. Would recommend the chicken and salad pack.

Stale inedible chips, smallest cooked chook ever which was tough and had no floury skin. The one star is for nice gravy.

First time ordering from them.got chicken schnitzel pack.the chips were fine the carrot n peas were cold and soggy.the chicken was overcooked, could barley eat it and was cold.

It was not the driver the food arrived fast and the chips were still hot.

Ordered ahead by phone and we were there within 10 minutes. We waited another 5 minutes for our order.
The chips, fish and chicken were delicious

Can be a good little place at times tonight not that great the bloke cooking the chips knows how to make the chips like oven chips no oil poor tasting and not cooked properly in the middle.

Unfortunately this place wasnt the best experience ive had at a fish and chip shop the burgers were very average chips sub standard and the salads very average taste was very busy but quality needs to improve

Ordered some dim Sims, crab sticks from here as not once they were full of oil at all. As I have had ordered a chicken schnitzel burger with the lot as the burger was so big it started to fall apart as it was that fresh I had to eat in half. As the hot chips were delicious too even the chicken salt too.

Chips were good but the "chicken salt" appeared to be uncontaminated by chicken flavour.

I deal with this shop both personally and in a business capacity (Uber Eats pickups) and they are always friendly towards me:)

I’ve been ordering from here since I was a kid and the quality has always been fantastic! Best chicken and chips in Adelaide in my opinion! Always friendly service as well
