I had my first and best banh mi here and I have not been able to find anywhere that does it better!

Having lived in Hanoi for 4 years, I'm always keen to try different VN eateries. Tây Dô staff were not only efficient but also lovely – and they even understood me when I ordered my bún in Vietnamese, which gave me much pleasure because it had been a while since I spoke Vietnamese. I had the vegetarian option and the two types of tofu (crispy and fried) plus a spring roll meant it was filling and very good value for money. Fresh salad vegetables and condiments, and yummy vermicelli and dressing made it a delicious lunch. I'll definitely be back! Cảm ơn tất cả!

A casual lunch with my friend last spring. The roasted pork banh mi (meat roll) was so yummy, the taste was harmonious between vegetables, pickle, herbs and slices of roasted pork that were evenly and beautifully cut. My friend ate tofu banh mi, she complimented a lot on its taste and ate it all deliciously under the Adelaide blue sky. We ate and strolled along Flinders Road lined with gentle purple phoenix flowers. A gentle breeze blew a faint scent that made our hair fly in the sunshine and the spring breeze.

Update:
I've been back a few times for vermicelli noodles, beef noodles (pho) and meat rolls. The vermicelli noodles and pho are quite good, unfortunately, the broth is not hot enough and they don't serve lemon for the pho as well. Although we ordered two combination pho, they only served rare beef pho. Therefore, other dishes can reach 5 stars, meanwhile only 4 stars for pho.

Got my order wrong twice and the boy gave me attitude for requesting my order be corrected to what I actually paid for! Unbelievably rude when I was actually polite in asking.

All the food at Tay Do tastes great, and I rate their bahn mi as the best in Adelaide. Unfortunately, the increased prices have turned this into a bi-monthly treat instead of a weekly lunch.

5 stars for food, 3 stars for value, 4 stars average.

Fantastic food, always. Bahn Mi is by far the best in Adelaide. But not so long ago the bahn mi's were $7.00, and a Bahn Mi combo was $13.00. In a pretty short period of time it has risen to $17.00. That's a heckuva price hike, so I can't give it the 5 stars I'd like

Absolutely amazing place. I am someone who do not eat meat and finding a bahn mi that taste just delicious is amazing. Thank you for your amazing food.

The fastest and most efficient service I have ever seen, the staff are friendly and the food is great.

In, out, shovel food down the word hole and then out the door. Perfect for your lazy, decrepit public servant.

Absolutely delicious every single item that we got was cooked to perfection and so cheap. A huge lineup and it only took a few minutes to get served to get my food. Will definitely be back.

Best banh mi (in my humble opinion). Great staff, quick service, and they have a license so beers are on the menu. It's a relatively new business that started just before COVID so help support them with a delicious lunch!

Amazing fast service, very tasty menu, trying everything I can, fresh, tasty, delicious. Great team behind the counter. Just wish they were open 45 minutes earlier so I could try the breakfast bahn mi before work.

Best banh mi in Adelaide. Staff are so friendly and efficient. I changed offices but still walk the extra distance sometimes for one of their rolls.

Good rolls and salads. One negative is they regularly run out of roast pork and other meat options - have started to go elsewhere due to this.
