Everything was perfect.went on a week day evening. Calm atmosphere next to the lake. Food was delicious. We ordered biriyani, naan & lamb curry. Staff was friendly.

Luckily the food has been consistent in our 2 visits so far. Love the taste, authenticity, ambience and location and the service.

Best Indian food in Adelaide and affordable prices with friendly staff - we’ve gotten take away 3 times since they opened and every time it’s just as delicious

Service was excellent. Food was good, but not amazing. Overall I found it on the expensive side. Complimentary poppadoms would have been a nice gesture, other restaurants often do this. I traveled to go here, so wouldn’t necessarily be returning anytime soon.

So pleased to have discovered Tamarind Modern Indian. This is the best Indian available in Adelaide. Very flavoursome curries which aren't mostly comprised of sauce. They seem to prioritise the quality of their food. We will be frequenting this restaurant. You should do the same.

Plates hot the way they should be if you were putting hot food on them! Service was top notch, though, please put ice in all drinks as a standard (The only negative). Food was exquisite, vindaloo chicken very tender moist and flavoursome, lamb madras - the best I’ve had in many years, meat was good sized tender cubes, moist and just the right amount of heat in a smooth tasty sauce. Garlic naan were light with a tasty hint of garlic. And the aloo gobhi was the best I have ever tasted potato and cauliflower equally balanced. All up, food and beverages at just under $46 a head, excellent value for money - a totally enjoyable evening out, Thank you. Don’t change a thing - it’s as close to perfect as it is.

Extremely delicious food. Taste of starter and main course reminded me of typical Indian taste, which we always crave for. All items appears to be freshly prepared.

This is specific to the Veg Manchurian that was ordered.pls stop adding excess Vinegar to it.

It just spoils the overall taste.

Wish to have a better experience next time.

Fantastic service and food. All four of our mains were cooked perfectly and very tasty. Naan bread was great too. Great service and such a nice view over the lake! We will be back.

Nice new Indian restaurant. Good food, well presented and clean place, but the thing that really impressed me was the team - friendly smiling staff.
Given 4 starts as I felt starters portion are too small for the price being charged, hence don't deliver value.
Food was well presented, flavorful and tasty. Will definitely recommend and go back again

This place is fantastic. The food is amazing, we've had vegetarian and chicken dishes here and they are always so full of flavour. There is never a wait for service and the staff are lovely. New management have done a great job of turning this place around.

The food here is absolutely delicious, it is fantastic that there is a Indian restaurant in the northern suburbs that deliver authentic dish’s. We usually have to travel to the City. Our waiter was very hospitable. We loved this place, this will be our go to when we are craving Indian food. Oh and they make the best mango lassi

I have been to India numerous times and the food is exactly like there.
I got Dhaba chicken, jeera rice and Parantha.

We occasionally dine out because can’t find authentic taste in all Indian restaurants. Tamarind is the one we can go again and again.
Delicious food with good customer service. A must try Indian cuisine.
Location near waters is superb.
