Talisker Conservation Park reviews
11Really fun. Amazing place. Covered in maidenhair ferns in winter. Going off trail with GPS device, found rare glow in the dark mushrooms. Go deep enough in and you can see the amazing ocean views. Gigantic mining shafts are dotted everywhere randomly, watch out!
Nice picnic area and toilet before driving down to the mine. Good walk and sign posted. Walk along further for the view to Kangaroo Island. Worth taking a look
It is an interesting place with the ruins of a few buildings (some being almost whole) dotted around. You get a snippet of South Australia's mining history
Step back into a former silver mine and village.
The area has sign posted information where you can compare what was there, to what you're seeing today, and well posted tracks.
Well worth the short detour off the main road to Cape Jervis.
YO THIS PLACE IS LITERALLY AMAZON FOREST. Driving through here reminds me of the Jurassic Park scene where they drive through the park. So beautiful and untouched. There are walks through the forest that doesn't feel like it's toned down for the general public. It feels like a real forest

Well worth the short detour off the main road to Cape Jervis.
The mines themselves aren't much to look at but the surrounding scenery and panoramic views of the Pages Island group and Kangaroo Island more than make up for it
Short hilly walks around the ruins of mining buildings and shafts, as well as a lookout across the ocean to KI.
There's a great bench and table on top of a hill here that lets you sit and eat while appreciating the views all the way to Kangaroo Island. Good starting point to do walks to the nearby mines or surrounding hills and valleys.
A little bit out of the way, but worth checking out, there's a few walking tracks if you're up for a hike, otherwise it's a short walk down to the ruins.
