Tagai Vineyards & Cellar Door

Had a wonderful birthday lunch at Tagai with my daughter. Super chill, good wine and the food was excellent. Great hidden gem.

We’d picked Tagai on a whim (based on the vibe your honour) and wow the wines were amazing! We tried a good range, including an amazing Rosè and some even more amazing Shiraz & Cabernet Sauvignon with amazing flavour and depth. The Chardonnay is not available for tasting due to limited stock available so bought this on the strength of Viv’s other wine. Unfortunately we were already full from lunch so couldn’t try any of food menu but rest assured that sitting down with one of these amazing wines, some great food and the incredible view the afternoon would be perfect.

Dropped in fairly spontaneously for a Sunday morning tasting. So glad we did, excellent wines and a brilliant spot.

You ll hardly find something like this around. Highly recommended

Fantastic place. Great food and the staff were friendly and so helpful. Loved the pizzas especially the dessert one. It was a lovely day so we sat outside and admired the gorgeous view. Will definitely go back and look forward to sitting inside near the big log fire!

Wine was excellent and the view is impressive. Tasting was expensive: $15 for 3 from a list of 7 options (not including top shelf shiraz and malbec) which was not deducted from purchase. It might be that i am a little spoilt coming from the Riverina / Rutherglen / King Valley regions where tastings are very generous. While not being busy when we were there, there was no effort to discuss any aspect of the wines although tasting notes were provided. Perhaps it was because we had a few kids in tow? We would have appreciated a little more hospitality.

A rustic cellar door up a steep entrance drive way providing views over the vineyards and surrounding bush land from inside plus some outside seating. We didn't sample the wood oven pizzas. They did look appetising though. Friendly owners talked us through their small range offered as a wine flight.

What a great place worth a visit for sure. Great food and customer service 10 out of 10. It's worth the drive.

What winery in the hills can you sit and watch the sun go down over a glass or two, along with an amazing tasting menu

Tagai Vineyards was the perfect choice for a relaxed lunch and wine experience. Excellent service, delicious food freshly prepared, and beautiful Tagai local wines. This was complemented with a scenic view from the hilltop. We look forward to visiting again.

Underrated to my opinion. The setting is fabulous, food is light and delicious. Pizzas are tasty and made right next to you by the Chef.
Wines are original. Loved the Desert Rose Rosé and the Pinot Meunier.
Super relaxing time.
