TAFE SA - Adelaide Campus reviews
23I love the teachers and students there, l have been giving my boby to assist education by getting a massage for $25 for a hour for years. Now I just want to say Great service thank you
It's just unbelievable how their customer service can be so terrible. It's impossible to get a response from the international student team. I'm really disappointed, more than 10 days trying to have a piece of information and just seems impossible for them.
Easy paid parking right under Tafe. Friendly and knowledgeable admin staff has been my experience so far with this location.
AWESOME EXPERIENCE FROM ALL THE IT LECTURERS
Really love all my lecturers the course material has help me land a job in mentoring people in IT and I have been easily able to apply it. Lecturers have been approachable and knowledgeable. Can't recommend TafeSA enough for IT/Programming. (The fee free diploma is icing on the cake too, I spent a lot on TafeSA prior to this fee free initative and I think it has been money well spent)
Awesome, I LOVE MY NEW LOOK ️. & for sure I will be going back to get my hair done The young hairdresser apprentice did a wonderful job with my colour & foils.she was supervised by hairdresser Lauren.who is just beautiful. THANKS to all. 1st time at the Adelaide TAFE HAIR & BEAUTY. Staff are very friendly & welcoming
I believe tafe is a great place and most of the teachers are very easy going and will get through a course except for one of the teachers who teaches word powerpoint and excel which no one needs luckily only an elective so shouldn't be any trouble
TAFE SA has more staff then it’s students but if a student need help there is no staff, I studied here for 3+ years after all that experience my advise to new students is that please don’t waste ur time and money go to any Uni for ur studies TAFE is not a place to study and benefit from it in the future, it’s just a toffee wrapped in a case with great Marketing no one knows what is inside until u open and taste it.
GOT KICKED OUT CAUSE I SET THE PLACE ON FIRE? IT WAS FOR MY PROJECT I WAS LITERALLY DOING A PRESENTATION ON GLOBAL WARMING (it was a small fire)
The girls that Toni assigned to do my hair Hayley and Latisha were fabulous and very excited to complete a chemical straightening. If all the hairdressers going through TAFE are like these lively lovely ladies then Toni can be proud.
Remember everyone is still learning and needs to be respected because that's important to encourage people to be happy about becoming budding star amazing hairdresser.
I'm going to buzz back for a Colour.
Hayley could change my Cut also as my husband had a new idea and Latihsa could Colour?
Used to study here in the early of 2000s, as this place is always kept clean and tidy, the teachers were always helpful whenever I used to be in class. As it's a great place to study from retail to hairdressering etc
My friend goes here (distance learning property-related course). I'm writing this to keep her name safe and because this institution has caused her great stress, which has caused me to write this and warn others.
Her course was restructured and nobody was notified. She kept following up and it turned out she wasn't included on the email list and eventually had 2 days to get a student loan before the new term and couldn't do any reading ahead of time.
The lectures are pre-recorded but some of the lecturers forget to record (the machine records for about 40 minutes and then cuts out and the lecturer forgets to start recording again). So you get to listen to a roll call and silly questions from people in the class (that the distance learners do not need or benefit from but the lecturer cannot seem to manage the classroom). Then you miss more important information that you actually need for assignments and exams.
The Powerpoint slides are formatted badly, so that distance learners need to reformat (for example, taking off the very dark background) so that they can print their notes. Assignments are not clearly set, so you don't know how long it will take and the word count is about 1000 words too little. The student forum has topics like "I'm so lost" because nobody seems to know what's going on.
Hyperlinks provided in the notes are out of date/dead/incorrectly referenced and the textbooks have errors. Oh and you hand in your course assessment at the same time as other documents with your name on, so the feedback is not anonymous.
Try setting your students up for success instead of having them swim upstream constantly. Bear in mind distance learners are usually juggling other life priorities as well as having paid for a product and service that ought to have had some care/checking/proofreading involved.
I wish there was another option.
Unfortunately there is no other option so they have no reason to be good in any way, shape or form.
You have to do all year round course otherwise your business wont grew, some of us are looking for a type of course that leads to employment, another thing is stop moving from place to place it will be difficult for students to travel where the actual tafe school is.
Studying information technology I hate tafe they are terrible. Organisation is a mess thankfully just one term left then I can run as far away as possible out of there and never return. But it’s not all bad some lectures are great.
Great campus in the city centre, offers many courses but the costumer service wasn't great. I registered to a course and took a pre-test for reading, writing in 2015 and maths but never received the results up to now. Has contacted TAFE to follow up many times but had no result.
I havent studied at this place but i can tell it has good atmosphere.i cant wait to start my course next year at TAFE.omg im just too excited my heart cant keep calm. BEST INSTUTION

Large campus with a variety of courses and people of all backgrounds and cultures. Met and made good friendships here.
Got a trainee haircut at Tafe for $3.50. Took over 30mins but for the price I'm not going to complain. It's a big Campus and one can easily get lost.
This is probably the best haircut that I've had in years. Just the head massage was worth the small fee. I would definitely recommend using TAFE if you're on a tight budget. Especially since there is no sacrifice to quality.
