Sushi Train Plympton reviews
56The owner is the worst, easy to tell his focus on money rather than customers. Never again
This sushi train is definitely the best sushi train in Adelaide. I've been to every other one and now will only go to this branch. I travel 45 minutes just to come to this particular one. Definitely recommended.
Always a long queue at peak hour. Seating at the table is the better option. During winter, do not sit at the front door. The automatic door is opened every 30 secs which brought in cold air. Other than the seating arrangement, love the food, especially when you order fresh.
They usually have a variety of selections and today's specials.
The menu was extensive and service was excellent, and very friendly. The sushi and rice bowls (aburi salmon bowl and salmon & ikura) were fantastic — extremely fresh and generous. I ordered the salmon & ikura bowl and was really impressed with the quality.
Love sushi train so I was excited to find one at plympton! Everything was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful
Lots of choices from the obvious sushi and sashimi to udon noodles, dumplings, desserts and more. Also many drinks options including alcoholic drinks. The place is comfortable and clean. It gets pretty busy so the food choices are always nice and fresh. The gyoza was fresh and warm and the tiramisu was not bad. If you come on weekends there can be a waiting line. On weekdays lunchtime, place is full but not crowded. There is free parking right outside, but that can also get full easily depending on the time and day you come.
Large premises with food travelling in all directions. I'll be attending here more often.
My go to restaurant if I need an udon fix. Authentic Japanese food that is delivered on a conveyor belt of endless temptation. A little robot will sometimes follow the wait staff around and help them collect plates which is nice little touch and fun for the kids to see. Highly recommended if you're a fan of Japanese grub.
This Sushi Train offers very nice sushi which is made fresh and well while also offering very large seating areas for atleast 6 people.
The staff is friendly and effective in its work knowing how to handle alot of customers and the freshly made custom orders are very delicious - I had the Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl and it was very well balanced in taste and consistency.
Highly recommened!?
My favourite sushi train! The lovely service staff, the little robot, the prices, the tables and how clean the place is all make for an excellent experience. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but plenty of space. Be prepared for a wait time during peak periods. Up to an hr.
We always enjoy the sushi. Bonus is reasonable selection of vegetarian options for my partner.
Watched someone clean a table for twenty minutes.no wasabi. Had to ask for it at the counter.so many staff working there.yet no service. Only time the service was immediate and responsive was paying the bill.good location.good setup. The staff were a big let down. Done bother about spitting on my next order. We won't be coming back. Unless the boss wasn't working that night. If I was the boss I would have lost my s h I t. Parking was good. Big crowd. Big line up. So must be something good about it. It was just probably bad timing on our behalf no doubt. Sushi train has always been a reliable establishment that promises and offers great food and service. We just didn't get it that night. Really sorry about the review.
Quite a different Sushi Train to the others in Adelaide. Special fish menu and great service.
This place is one of my favourite sushi restaurants in Australia and I've lived in most of Australia. They are always friendly and the food safety standards are high compared to other sushi places I've been. The staff need a raise for what good of a job they do.
Reliably tasty food, excellent customer service, nice atmosphere even if quite busy. Clean and hygienic.
Very good place! The food was fresh, and the place was very busy, which is a good indication of customer satisfaction.
Myself, my wife and my 4 year old daughter have been here several times now and we really enjoy it.
The staff are wonderful and accommodating.
Our daughter loves the "kitty robot" that delivers inari and sushimi ordered from the kitchen.
Prices are fair and so is the range of options available.
I always phone ahead for takeout for the kids as it's easier than picking and ordering while there. I've dined in a few times and it's quick and easy qnd everytime there has been lines but they move relatively fast considering.
Probably my favourite sushi train, never a long wait if you go at the right time, gorgeous aburi salmon, sushi cola, and always a crunchy roll just for me
Good food, however we visited around the end of the day and a lot of the plates were cold and variety was low
